It is what it is Rick. He is a terrible human being and he doesnt represent my values as a person at all. I hope he fails miserably and we can reclaim the party of Reagan.
There are some fundamental differences between the parties. Ex: Democrats want a war with Russia and Republicans want a war with China.
Reagan and Trump have a lot of similarities with respect to how they impacted the GOP. Reagan made it the "party of Reagan", but it certainly wasn't that before he beat Jimmy Carter in 1980. Reagan swept the south, but he struggled up north where Bush won a lot of primaries. Bush labeled Reagan's supply-side economics as "voodoo economics" and in general, many in the mainstream GOP thought Reagan was too extreme. Reagan handled criticism more gracefully, but it helped that he was already part of the system. Trump's biggest problem is he wasn't a product of the system. He went straight from private oligarch to president. There's a reason that's never happened. They were not able to contain him.
The Trump Biden debate will turn out like the last one. Biden actually has the advantage of low expectations and rather than address the issues if there is a debate Trump will simply repeat his standard lines that he is the victim of a weaponized government and witch hunt. His cult will love it but that approach will not go over very well with the independent swing voters who will determine the winner of the election. Just a reminder of what happened in 2020. Poll: Majority of viewers say Biden won final debate And this poll was taken following Biden's 2023 State of the Union speech. https://thehill.com/homenews/admini...tive-reaction-to-biden-speech-cnn-flash-poll/
Not a prayer. No one is going to be convinced to vote one way or another this election based on a debate. No point in having. Same reason Trump wont debate his competitors. Biden might rise above it and debate anyway but I wouldnt.
He doesn't? CBS News poll finds Trump's big lead grows, as GOP voters dismiss indictments From RCP View attachment 146955
The RNC and the DNC are private entities as are the sponsors. They get to make their own rules don’t they? Should we have the the WH, Congress, DOJ, SCOTUS, FBI, CIA tell them how what the rules should be?
My god. What a lame take. I’m not calling for regulation. I’m calling for the people to make it clear to their representatives they will not accept the behavior and will leave the party if it continues to exclude candidates in this manner.
