So a for profit company should increase costs involved with expanding harvest efforts in order to lower the income from the now lowered cost commodity with little consideration of demand. Shrewd business model you propose.
Let's go back to Ancient Oracles. Compared to what's going on today, they make a helleva lot more sense.
One problem with that is that forests rely on rotting wood to replenish the nutrients in the soil. If you cut the trees down and haul them out, the nutrients leave with them, and the land eventually becomes incapable of re-growing a forest. Fires will at least leave the minerals in the forest. So if you do too much tree cutting and you want the forest to keep growing, you have to bring in fertilizer--a lot of it.
I had no idea that defenestration meant throwing someone out a window - I had some vague idea it had to do with disemboweling someone while alive - which is also not a bad idea. My new word for the day. Thanks @RIP
And refenestration is when you throw them back into the building through the window. Prefenestration is when you are just thinking about throwing someone through a window.
You’re right, who needs local habitat, wildlife, and functioning ecosystems. We should 100% adopt Brazil’s model for the Amazon.
Fires are naturally occurring. Don’t bitch to me about climate change and air quality. If you’re that worried about the air quality, cut down some fookun’ trees.
