I live in FL and had posters on here try to tell me FL did a terrible job and that CA did a great job. You show me anyone saying TX did a good job during covid. School closures happened in CA. Schools were open in FL in Aug of 2020. I get that it sucks that your poster boy for covid response Gavin looks worse than DeSantis when comparing Covid since FL was open pretty much a year earlier and schools were open almost a year earlier as well. Tough luck on hitching your wagon to ol' Gavy.

He might. Depends if the R's put an idiot up for president again in 24. Good odds of that. Will be a 3rd straight election where i vote 3rd party most likely.

This is what I don’t get about republicans since there are very good republicans out there. They go for the least likely person to win they can find.

Well, to be fair the Dem's haven't put up a good candidate since Obama either. Both sides are trying to outdo the other. Dems trot Hillary out there, R's said Hold my beer and that idiot trump came about. And Biden has been weekend at bernie's for a few years now, let alone 4 more years.

Typical 95. Find one metric that supports his conclusion and ignore, ridicule, and laugh at everything else that shows he is wrong. Comparing state to state with raw numbers is a good starting metric, but it ignores a ton of variables. The minutiae that could explain why the numbers may be skewed one way or another.

The article linked explaining the CA vs FL COVID contained a ton of explanation why the comparison isn't a full apples to apples comparison. Take things like population density and poverty levels into effect, and COVID hot spots can be easily identified. 40% of CA residents live in a hot zone versus only 20% of FL residents.

Furthermore, LA Country, which is the most populous in the US, has more people living in a hot zone than any other county in the country. Remove LA County COVID numbers and CA fares very well. And by the way, over 9.8 million people live in LA County, which is more than many states.

I'm sure 95 will laugh at this post and dismiss while just sticking to the raw numbers without digging into the details. But the truth can be found in the details, for those with actual intellectual curiosity.

Grifter couldn't stay away lol. Look, this poster looks so dumb by trying make the numbers not be so bad. It's too funny. This poster thinks lockdowns, school closures, masks and forced vaxxing of kids was the right call still. Anyone still thinking that is either dumb or ignorant. Really no in between. The numbers speak for themselves. FL did a much better job handling covid than CA did. End of discussion.

Nailed it. Zero intellectual curiosity. The raw numbers are all you need. No reason to try and dig at all! Especially when you do dig, your conclusions fold like a house of cards.

I stopped responding to this grifter when he refused to acknowledge that lockdowns and school closures were shown to be bad. Since the grifter then keeps trying to spout "studies" that he thinks prove his point I continue to laugh at his takes because when one is so delusional there really isn't anything other to do but laugh at them. CA faired worse than FL by pretty much every covid metric. The grifter is upset about this because it makes him look even more foolish. It's fun for everyone to watch him continue to make a fool of himself.

Ignorance is the lowest form of stupidity. And I know 95 is capable of some critical thinking. When asked why red states fared worse than blue states as a whole, you brought up health factors. But did you apply your critical thinking skills when comparing CA and FL? Or did you just look at the numbers, smiled because they fit your conclusions, and stop digging? Are FL and CA perfect analogues for health comparison, or is there a difference? What about other factors you failed to take into consideration?

For example, does humidity potentially effect COVID transmission? An early study from CUNY has shown that COVID does not transmit as effectively in more humid, wet conditions. All of Florida has high humidity, whereas outside of coastal areas, much of CA is very dry. What about elevation? Florida is flat as a pancake, whereas there are several areas in CA that have winter ski areas. Turns out, elevation reduces the spread of COVID.

What about population density. In FL, the average number of persons per household is 2.57. In LA County, the number is 2.94. If a large number of COVID cases are spread within a household, wouldn't it stand to reason that an area with a 14.4% higher number of persons per household have more COVID cases? Throw in the health factors, poverty factors, high number of essential workers, and the story becomes clear why LA County fared exceptionally poorly when it came to COVID, and skewed the CA numbers in such a large way.

I know 95 will just laugh at this, point at the numbers, and go about his blissful ways. After all, ignorance is bliss. But I post for others who might actually have true intellectual curiosity and understand that there are lies, damn lies, and statistics. The ignoramus looks at one stat that may back up his point, and clings on to it for dear life. The intelligent ones know a single statistic is only a small part of a larger story, and my not come close to telling the truth.

Grift Continues! It's a simple thing to do. Admit lockdowns, school closures, masks and vaxxing kids was wrong to do. But I know these posters won't. Too proud LOL. Can't admit they were wrong, for years.

It would be simple to admit I'm wrong. It would also be a sign of complete ignorance as it would require me to ignore all the data that is in my corner. Thanks for confirming your ignorance and my intellectual curiosity. I choose to continue to learn and understand because there still is a lot to learn and understand about COVID. I don't just look at two sets of numbers and declare victory!

Being a former Senator and Secretary of State HRC was probably the most qualified candidate in recent history, but the Democrats have had several qualified. As far as Biden goes for someone republicans say is sleepwalking he’s accomplished more in his first year than Trump did in four.

I know you don't believe that. Sounds like dem talking points 101. Hillary was more disliked than Trump somehow. That's saying something.

Not debating that. He made bad mistakes. Being in the middle it's easy for me to call those out. Issue is those on the right and left(you) can't objectively look at that.

In a world with privatized education and COVID authoritarians not in power to make decisions for all the pawns that are US citizens, parents could have made their own decisions and accepted the personality that goes with it. Each school could have made their own decisions, and capitalists could have done what capitalists do, move with their feet when they are unhappy with the good or service being offered.

That’s quite the erudite argument for anarchy. We are a Democratic Republic and we pawns as you put it elect people to make those decisions. I don’t have a problem with that, but I’m sure there are several other countries on this planet that might please you. Somalia For instance.

Lol, so you think if people could make decisions about the health of their own children and kept their children in schools it would have been like Lord of the Flies? I wonder why so many people would want to move to a state like that?

I can make health decisions for myself and my own family. I don't need the government being my daddy. If you need daddy Biden to feel safe, then you are fine to believe that daddy Biden makes you safe. However, I like to live in the land of the free where I don't need a government daddy to be safe.

There are laws that protect children from the irresponsible decisions of their parents regarding their children’s health. Again if you don’t like our country and it’s laws then leave.
