I believe this concern was increasing back when Bush was in office. When Trump was in office, the FBI and DHS issued a joint bulletin noting that White Supremacist Extremists were responsible for more homicides than any other domestic extremist movement from 2000 to 2016. DocumentCloud Important to note that these people/groups are properly identified as extremists. They don't represent most White people or most White conservatives. They're a relatively small number, but enough to be a threat. I don't think pointing that out is the same as what we've heard on Fox News to include claims that White people are being replaced and that Democrats are hoping to start a race war.

I can't tell if posters here sincerely don't understand that "they want to start a race war" is in fact mundane, textbook white supremacist rhetoric or they have actually fallen for it. Even the Boogaloo movement pretty much gave up on that tactic. They wear Hawaiian shirts and pretend to be outraged at the suggestion now, because the "we must kill them before they kill us" didn't get far beyond the nuttiest. I doubt even the Tucker clones believe it. But I guess it works. This is why those morons still send "Nigerian princess" emails. Apparently there is a population that makes it worth it.
My question to the room: can you A) Be white B) Vote Republican and C) Believe racism is a two-way street without being considered a White Nationalist by the left?
White Nationalism/Supremacy is a pretty specific belief set, why do Republicans automatically get defensive when they hear it?
