I’d say the only Bibles in Public Schools should be the ones in the students backpacks, who brought them from home.

I think there are books that should be banned from schools. That’s where we differ in opinion.

My comment was to let people know that there’s this thing called the home and library (sarcasm) where anyone can go to read whatever books they desire. You can also order them on line and they will be delivered right to your front door.

If the Bible fails the morality code of a public school library, than remove it.

If needed, I say remove the Old Testament and leave the New Testament until they are older. In fact , just leave the words of Jesus in written form. The whole perfect gospel is encapsulated within those words anyway

I can’t answer that because I don’t know what books were there. I’m 70 years old. I’ll let the parents decide.

Once again I’ll say you can get whatever book you want at the local library, online, delivered to your front door. If you want a Bible in the school your kids go to then have them attend a Christian school or one that allows it.

All this banning stuff started with politically correct BS. Everyone has hurt feelings. Now that both sides have seen what a little whining can accomplish it’s all fool (pun intended) ahead.

I sit back and watch it all play out. As I’ve said before it’s like watching human cartoons.

Trump is a prime example of the push back from the right. That’s what you get when you piss the other side off. And guess what? It’s going to get worse.

I can’t state in words how glad I am to be 70 years old. I feel bad for the younger generations. I hope I’m wrong about where I think this country and world is headed, really do for my grandkids sake.

 

Eh, courts have ruled that kids can take Bibles to public schools. Seems a little silly to me if kids can take Bibles to school but the same book constitutes porn if in the library. Not to say that I don't see the rhetorical move that's probably being made here given that religious parents often seem to want to put the most restrictions on what kids hear and read. But I don't think Bibles should be banned in public school libraries. I just don't want the schools or teachers using their positions to endorse Christianity.
