That's disappointing. But I'm VERY happy with Bowens.

And @lizardbreath is right, if it is all about the $$$, he won't be a Gator. There are several schools that play the NIL game bigger than we do, for better or worse.

Wasn't Cage saying he was following Lagway? I know how that goes but, would be nice to get him in the fold sooner than later

Gage has kind of been all over the place, but I'm not sure UF would be ready to take a committ from him just yet with only one RB slot open and so many options.

Bird in hand sometimes. There’s nothing wrong with going after your top pick but you better gauge his interest correctly.

True, but with Bowens already in the class I think you have theluxury of being selective for that second slot

These kids are influenced by Deion when they really should understand statistics. You must play the best to become the best. Removing USC and UCLA from conference means the probability to get to the NFL from Colorado/Pac is significantly less than SEC. Less chance to get drafted and less chance to play in the NFL. You don’t get better and prepare for the NFL playing lesser talent

I brought up that very same thing last year when Travis Hunter committed to Jackson St. It’s going to be one of the first 3 questions asked when teams meet with you in preparation for the draft. “Why did you take an easier path?”. And there are no good answers to that. It’s going to turn some teams off. You’re not helping yourself if the league is the ultimate goal.

He’s just going to say he wanted to be coached by the best DB ever. Pretty easy answer

And the fact that Deion was selling him on doing something that hasn’t been done before for HBCU.

Not likely. Spent two entire winters in Colorado. Very sunny and dry and that was at 8k above sea level. Boulder is much lower and even more temperate. Gorgeous campus and town.
