Don't worry, it was fiction, not a documentary. I enjoy the series, but the "zombies" look like their makeup was done at a salad bar. They do watch it...just in their closets.
The people who cry outrage over this type of programming are frequently the ones that get caught in some rest area men's room with a little hole cut out in the partition. Carry on, boys.
Lol, see post #49. Yes I love that I have a sense of humor and hope I or my kids never act or get offended as easily as you and others on this site. My kids have always known what my views are and their free to agree or disagree with me. And I'm 100% proud of how we've raised our kids
Prior to this thread, I had never heard of this show let alone watched it. Just from reading this thread and from what I know of the genre, it sounds like a breakdown of civilization, humanity is struggling for survival, etc. type show. Assuming that's the case, let's stop and think this through. We have two male characters who decide that their own pleasure is more important than perpuating the species. So, maybe the real point, here is that the human race, in this series, deserves to go extinct. Maybe the next episode, just to further drive the point home, they should have a heterosexual couple start their prepubescent kids on puberty blockers and then mutilate their teenager's genitalia.
As noted, I haven't seen the show, so I was actually expecting someone to "prove me wrong" by pointing out how the show addresses this issue. Instead, the two responses so far have been nothing but bluster.
Based on your response to that post, I think the libbies who want our species to go extinct should be taxed heavily.
More bluster. So, from reading this thread, the show is called "The Last of Us", it's based on a video game set in post Apocolyptic US and from reading this thread it sounds like the episode in question takes place over the course of a decade or more. So, let's recount my "wild ass" assumptions. I'll quote myself. Next part of the the quote: So, I'm sure I missed a few plot points but "wild ass" would be something along the lines of there's not a breakdown in civilization and humanity is not only not struggling for survival but actually thriving and, in fact, life's never been better. If the show actually addressed the question of procreation then all you have to do is say, "that point was actually addressed by blah, blah, blah..." if the show didn't address it then my point stands. Given all the bluster, instead of actual answers, I guessing that the point wasn't addressed.
I should not have to tell you this. The show doesn’t assess mass cattle raising either. Are they building the farming needed to survive? No one cares. It’s a show about not getting eaten by zombies where they weave in human stories that people can relate to. This line of reasoning of yours is one of the less clever attempts to be clever around here in a while. Try the “viruses are fake” thread for a similar approach.
having played the game (fantastic story btw) and now watching the show - hilariously this poster isn’t too wrong broadly (at least about the game). A choice has to be made between saving one person vs saving humanity and you are left wondering on the right choice cause humanity in the game is not a pretty thing maybe not deserving of saving. But none of that had to do with procreation lol. And to pull that from the show which has been a different feel … To that I have to say… that’s an effed up take seek professional help lol
Wow, that looks like an actual argument good for you. If they did assess cattle raising or building a farm, would you expect them to ignore relevant facts in service to an agenda? You're happy with the agenda being pushed so you don't care. You're entitled to your opinion of course. The point here is not to be clever. My guess is would be that you probably don't accept the Bible's authority. So, let's not talk about the Bible let's talk about natural selection. A post apocalyptic, brink of extinction, setting makes the point a bit more forcefully than an 8 billion humans and counting setting, does it not?
I wouldn’t say it’s brink of extinction. Not like the walking dead. There is actually safe zones overseen by an oppressive authoritarian federal government. But I know this because I WATCHED THE SHOW. You’d sound like less of a fool if you made an effort to be informed before running your mouth.
