No interest in more school just to pay other people to do my job. I do that now.

Somewhere back in this thread I said “rock, blues, and jazz”. I’ll even entertain some country from time to time. Even a little classical…..

Ironically enough, I was sitting in the stands at Mississippi State…. Watching them steamroll some directional team from LA. They showed the 3rd quarter score from UF game. I looked at the lovely blond by my side, and said “we gotta go.”

All I got to say is that if it wasn’t for Johnson to Queezie followed by Fred in the 97 FSU game my oldest child wouldn't have been born. Might be TMI lol.

Of course he might have been killed in that first “to the echo of the whistle” FSU game.

Our retired dentist quite doing root canals several years prior to retirement due to neck/back issues. Was the main reason he closed his practice as well. We loved his work.

Neck and back issues take a lot of us out of the game.

A friend of min retired in his 40s because of it. I did t realize how stressful it is on your neck. Are there better ergonomics now or is it the price you pay for doing that surgery?

Wow...if I were a better person, I'd feel bad after hearing that with all the stupid Dentist jokes I've been making. Oh well, I yam what I yam...:p

They have certain stools/chairs to sit on that help. The biggest thing is patient position and loupes. ErgoPrism loupes allow you to look forward and keep your next straight. Takes some getting used to. Some guys are using ceiling mounted microscopes.

There are still those patients where you have to manipulate/contort your body to get decent access and visibility. A good massage or physical therapist is a good friend to have. Mine gets free dental care.

Bending over at that angle can be excruciating. I’ve been installing wood floors for fort years. I can still handle that but a backsplash kills me.

The one thing I remember about Johnson was that all the experts thought he would come in and do what Wuerffel did with regard to offensive numbers. “It’s Spurrier’s system” so any quarterback will thrive. I don’t think enough people gave Danny the credit he deserved.

Find one in mid career when they are looking at the calendar and asking themselves how much longer they can go.

I did that a couple years ago. PT made a big difference. I’m hoping 15 more but planning for 10. Getting out the mouth and just running the practices. I’m 45
