You need to re-examine the process that you just describe and look at the weak points of your opinion.
    1. "somebody representing NIL money (not the UAA, coaches or administration) gave Rashada a written promise of a certain amount of money". This somebody has no official connection with the UAA. Rashada was dealing with an independent NIL agent. Any promises made by this agent do not have to be honored by the UAA.
    2. "They then reneged after he signed his Letter of Intent. Without them fulfilling their NIL written promise, why should the kid be obligated to show up on campus?". Rashada (the kid), needs to get a lawyer to see if he can sue for a breach of contract. Provided if there was ever a contract to begin with.
Also, you need to think why was Rashada so eager to flip to Florida? Are you aware that his flipping to UF was just before the NCAA announce that they were investigating Miami's recruitment of Rashada and the the Booster who may of been Rashada's NIL agent? This would be a good reason to flip to Florida.

Also, rethink why the other NIL agency waffled on the NIL offer. When the NCAA announced their investigation, it is possible that they felt they were dealing with damaged goods.

Rashada, signed a LOI. Thus he was obligated to enroll and attend classes. Thus he needs to accept the logical consequences for that action.

What ever deals he had outside of the LOI has nothing to do with the university. He is obligated to fulfill his commitment. I wouldn’t release him. Make him use his 1 time free transfer.

If we do this we will take a huge PR recruiting hit for the next 5 years.

My issue was always the fixation on a number. For example, if there are 100 men's scholarships and 50 women's, then the solution would be to add 50 women's scholarships and we're done and dusted. But instead it's more like add 25 women's then take away 25 men's so they can hit the number. And (from my experience) the Title IX supporters were okay with that while I saw that as a ripoff. The larger picture here is about creating opportunities for young people. That's about addition alone, not addition and subtraction. I'm sure there's more to it, but on principal that always bothered me.

The problem isn't so much the specifics of this specific case, but the existence of the entire episode and the knowledge that this is only the beginning. And that the one constant in all this drama - which has been going on for months - is this kid.

I agree. And as far as I am concerned, he has plainly indicated what is most important to him: himself. This isn't going to play well at any location. I see him flaming out at the major college level.

Maybe both sides are currently negotiating a settlement. Both sides then walk away with some heavy non-disclosure agreements in place. We may never know.

I don’t think Rashada will be in O&B.

This is just an opinion. Don’t get your panties crumbled.

It's unfortunate how so many media outlets have already chosen sides and written the story on this saga when we really don't know anything yet. For all we know Rashada's camp were making unreasonable demands and Florida walked away.

True. For all we know there was a mutual misunderstanding too. However, as has been made abundantly clear these last few days (if it wasn't already) there are very few places that provide reliable news regarding the Florida Gators and many, many who rush to publish something, anything . . . first . . . for the attention and clicks they receive. Others never miss a chance to advance their agendas of bashing Florida.

I would love to see a clarifying presser at the end of this, with CBN looking at a certain reporter, OK you got all your facts straight;)

If Florida walked away they would just release him from his LOI you would think and been done with this drama days ago.

Every report says Rashada was sent written notification the deal was off Before he signed the LOI. That may not be kosher but he at least knew about it when he signed

Is there a single report out there about this situation that has an actual source? Seems like it’s just a bunch of hacks sourcing each other. Other than one quote from Jaden’s dad, which doesn’t really say anything about what’s going on other than Jaden still planned to enroll at that time.

we should really think about this entire situation for a minute. If this whole thing was the player's fault, or the lawyer's fault, or Miami's fault, then why are we, on a Gator message board, not allowed to even whisper the name of the organization involved on the Gator's behalf? I hate to say it (even though Rashada's lawyer did), but someone screwed up and I'm starting to think the culprit isn't outside our own organization and either way I hope we can get our ducks in a row soon.....
