For awhile there Urbs was better than Nick. Beat him 2-1 in games that mattered.

Did he get run off because he wanted to run IF the way they are running Bama and Georgia?

Back on topic though, I hope that we can keep Jean. He reminds me of Reggie Wayne/Van Jefferson

I'm only repeating what I've heard here and there, but it's been my understanding it's not recent and happened after Meyer's tenure.

I don't think we should be asking questions that we don't want to know the answer to.

Different times. With all the troubled players it’s not a stretch to imagine this administration putting the clamp down.

Fun little stretch in the early 80's, think we did that about 5 seasons.....and of course again in 2019

that’s a factor. Asst AD Greg Mcgarity and he wanted to run UF like a big time program- Foley did not want to do the arms race… Uf admin not supportive of what it takes.

The arms race was like Thanos: inevitable. Foley was too stubborn to realize this and it cost us.

LSU was building an IPF and state of the art dorms in the year 2000. UF was 15 years behind in an IPF. Tennessee was building a football stand alone facility in the late 2000s. We just moved into ours in August. Again 15 years behind our peers.

When it comes to anything facility related, UF has been neither a leader nor a follower. We were ultra late adapters basically because we had no choice.

Part of our struggles from 2010-present can be attributed to that.

While we were focusing on our stand-alone facility that should have been built two decades ago, our competitors were setting up their collectives, organizing their boosters, and getting the ball rolling on what was inevitable player compensation and pay for play. Again completely behind the curve and our peers in yet another area.

If we want to reach the CFB Playoff and stop the cycle of sh*tstorms we find ourselves in, we need to stop avoiding the inevtable and start leading the way. We need visionaries who have a pulse on the CFB landscape to lead us forward into the 2030s. Otherwise football purgatory will continue in Gainesville for the foreseable future.

His cuts during routes on his high school film were leagues above the competition he was playing.

That was my thought as well. An under the radar talent that was criminally underrated. Hopefully… without the baggage.
