I checked metro Phoenix, and there's a Four Seasons Nail Salon, Four Seasons Sushi bar, Four Seasons Power Sports, and the likely winner for the coveted press conference, Four Seasons Cleaning, which is a landscaping company!

Oh, and while Phoenix and Tucson don't have 4 Seasons, towns like Flagstaff at v elevation certainly do.

As for Lake's lawsuit, an anonymous Lake campaign worker said it will be tough sledding. Courts require actual proof, and the Lake campaign is lacking in actual proof. What is interesting is two state-wide elections were within a .5% margin and triggered an automatic recount. We'll get to see just how many fraud votes were counted. Last election, that total was 9. Doubt it is significantly higher this time.

As for Lake, her election wasn't close enough to trigger the recount. She'll have to find over 17,000 voters with provable stories they were disenfranchised to make her case. Again, evidence isn't on her side.

Evidence-shmevidence. She had bigger rallies, so she obviously won.

Her legal position was truly hilarious.

"Printers failing on election day could only be interpreted as intentional sabotage." When the average modern printer works on the first try it's more suspicious than when it fails. We were better off with dot matrix models with the perforated paper edges.

"Due to this voter suppression, the election win should be awarded to Lake..." Because that's what you do with irregularities that can't be quantified--just declare the other party the winner. Makes a lot of sense.

Watching her fully self destruct us heartwarming. She learned nothing from Trump’s ‘20 implosion, but that’s what full on self deluded narcissi does to a person.
Problem is, unless someone rises up in either the Republican primary or the dem side in the general, she’s still got a decent shot at the senate seat in ‘24.

Please don’t punish us! Plaintiffs in big trouble….$$$$$$

"AZ Law": SANCTIONS SCOREBOARD: Keeping Track Of Arizona's 2020-22 Election Case Aftermaths

SANCTIONS SCOREBOARD: Keeping Track Of Arizona's 2020-22 Election Case Aftermaths

UPDATE, 12/26, 5pm: Kari Lake's attorneys are asking Judge Peter Thompson to not "punish" them for bringing the Election Contest, suggesting that if he does award the nearly $700,000 asked for by defendants, it will cause an erosion of "trust in the election process."

"Trust in the election process is not furthered by punishing those who bring legitimate claims as Plaintiff did here. In fact, sanctioning Plaintiff would have the opposite effect."

Plaintiff repeats many of the claims that it failed to prove, but argues that the 2-day trial demonstrated that the legal action was brought in good faith and not simply to harass.

However, the Response also continues to make claims that Lake has not been able to back up, saying that the issues on Election Day in Maricopa County "injured Plaintiff and millions of Arizona voters." The Response also claims that Maricopa County "reported" 25,000 additional ballots the day after the election, even though testimony showed that the earlier report was an "estimate".

I would agree it’s not to harass.
It’s a complete and total break from reality.
Judge is in a tough spot though, their overall claim is silly. But the fundamental argument above isn’t wholly wrong, you don’t want to discourage legitimate claims in the future. On the flip side, you definitely do need to send a message. this silliness needs to end.

Legitimate claims get legitimate consideration. My NC congressman was never seated back in 2018 cus he legitimately cheated.

Let me guess, the "NC Preacher" who's "buddy" was "stuffing" illegal votes for him...GOP of course. Seems to me a good 80% of confirmed cheating has been by GOP'ers.

BTW that "preacher" was annihilated in court when his son, whom actually "practices" christianity, busted his preacher dads "lies" resulting in "Preacher" having a nice big come to Jesus sob story in court. Admitted his lies and the cover up.

The point that the Democrats were trying to make and it should have been obvious is that Trump lost the popular vote and still won the election not that he didn't win the election. They may have criticized the process and the anachronism that is the Electoral College but they never suggested that he wasn't elected in contrast to Trump and his disciples like Kari Lake who are and have been denying the reality of their loses.

Judge ordered no sanctions, but ordered Lake to pay $35k in court costs.

Perhaps but we need to squelch this idea of "let's file a suit to stop something with no evidence but Italian satellites, Hugo Chavez's corpse, etc., etc., take your pick."

I know that you are not a moron. So, obviously you can see the different circumstances here. In 2020, Trump simply made up the big lie that he had won, and then did everything he could to try to change the election results, including things that were obvious crimes. In 2016, Hilary Clinton conceded the election to Trump, but she and others vociferously pointed out that Russian interference resulted in Trump’s victory. The Russian interference is clear as a bell. No one knows whether it changed the election outcome. In 2000, the U.S. Supreme Court interfered and halted the counting of uncounted votes in Florida that might have resulted in Gore winning the election. Also, because of the butterfly ballot fiasco in Palm Beach County, a couple of thousand Jewish senior citizens who thought that they had voted for Gore accidentally voted for an anti-Semitic Pat Buchanan. Bush only won Florida by 500+ votes. Can you imagine if that happened to Trump?
