Me neither. Cam Newton came back from junior college as an excellent passer. And Carried Auburn to a national championship. AR has shown neither. Super erratic passing and very poor decisions. Led his team to a loss to every single rival on the UF list.

AR didn’t lose the Vandy game. He could have done more but that loss was not on him.

Ohio state got a qb from Georgia. LSU from Ohio State. Usc from Oklahoma. Oklahoma got Hurts from Bama. Texas got Ewers from osu. Of course getting the number one class works also but they all use the portal , it’s a no brainer.

Trey Lance comes to mind. North Dakota State, really one full season. Great numbers that season then covid year. Declares, 49ers trade 2 first round picks and a third to move up in the draft to first to take him. Probably a bust but he 's makin big dinero. I now think it's safe to say AR will be a first round pick. Earlier in the year I really doubted any team would bite, but the more I read the more convinced I am that some team will open up the checkbook for him.

Mullen and Grantham tried to do that. It helped get us to a couple of NYE 6 bowls, but long term the strategy didn't work.

Dolphins send their thanks to SF for making that deal with them. It helped bring Waddle, Hill and Chubb to Miami.

Nothing wrong with hitting the portal. It's mandatory, because inevitably, you are losing players to it as well.

There is no substitute to signing your own though.

Think it was Dolphins trade with Texans for lot of picks in exchange for their first round OT draft pick, Laremy Tunsil, that gave leverage or allowed their drafts and trades to occur.

Still have to recruit. There has to a pipeline and a stable nucleus of a team to work with. Bama has had some very good portal players.

Doesn't matter how good the receivers are until he learns to lead them instead of throwing it behind them. We heard that the receivers weren't getting separation, but I saw many instances where the receivers had their men beat and he threw it a yard behind them and they were reaching back trying to make a play. Happened at least 8 times against USC. I didn't realize it was so common until I actually was at the game.

I think it was Shane Matthews who said he'll never be a good passer. Initially I thought BS, but having watched this season, I have to agree. He's not a natural at the QB position.

He needs to dump that QB coach that he's been working with. If he's only as good as he is after a personal QB coach, he's either not talented at the position or the QB coach sucks. Only completing like 53% of his passes.

LSU QB was there two years and that team was loaded, but none of those other teams one a NT doing this.

We are no where near the talent level that any of those teams are at this point. We could transfer the best QB in the nation next year and because of the core talent we are going to still go 8-5. We will probably do that next year if it was Kitna. In 2024 the talent should be better.

Every star in the galaxy would have to line up for us to get 6-8 great ready to dominate players. It is just unlikely. But, yes I wish it would happen.

    I agree. I believe he's a great kid, but he's no QB.

Agree. But without the SF deal, we don't get them.

AR is the single biggest reason why we're 6-5 (now 6-6) and not at minimum 8-4.

We do have some young talent though. A few key players and maybe we only lose to Georgia this year. Next year, these youngsters may be much better. I’m not predicting us to have that turnaround but it could happen. If there qb from wake were to come with his top receiver and we picked up a te along with Bordingham turning out to be good, that may change our offense pretty quickly. We played a lot of new dline guys and mclellan looks pretty good. FSU didn’t have much luck between tithe tackles but we are too slow to tge outside. Defense needs help in all areas but pass rush and contain would make everything else so much easier.

    Not 7 a game

He went 25/42 for 400 and another 7 drops vs Vandy. His zone read calls were on point. He was very good that game

Do you even watch the games?

    Thats hilariously wrong

He won us the Utah game. He was our best player by far vs Vandy. If you say AR blew the UK game then you have to give him the Utah game

No way in hell is this on AR. He has the ability to carry the team but our defense is what lost all these games. I’ve been critical of AR all year but only because I hoped for more from him. He had his hiccups against fsu too but stupid penalties, drops, bad tackling, lack of a true pass catching te, bad pass rush, giving up the edge…. The list goes on. He has tons of room for improvement but he isn’t why we lost( maybe Kentucky).
