The team never gave up and that is commendable it's been that way in all our losses. The D was both good and bad. Never able to have end containment all night. Frankly, we scored enough points to win, you just cannot give up that many points and expect to win. Our D has been consistently poor to bad most of the year. We will see if there is any improvement next year if not changes have to be made.
On the last drive, that was not a hold on our center and that was a debatable PI on them. However that was a clear miss of face mask.
I don't usually blame refs but these were awful. No holding on fsu. Are you kidding me.

O well. The sun will come out tomorrow.

I pretty much agree. I used to get upset about loses like this but when you are 6 and 6 it doesn't much matter. I've finally accepted the fact the Gators are a mediocre program at best.

He is slippery AF. Can't stand playing QBs like that. Too much speed. If you don't contain the edges, he will burn you one on one in the open field. Had him dead to rights for big sacks twice on third and long and couldn't bring him down with guys like Miller, Powell and Princely. Don't really want to see him again.

FSU made far better halftime adjustments on defense to stop our high school bombs.

To be fair to AR, I’m not sure how much is on him and how much is on the terrible passing scheme we have.

I would not be opposed to hitting reset on our entire passing offense this off-season. Just keep the running game.:D

Our defense is not very good ..so the fact that's all he scored...
Eventually even a blind squirrel find a nut..if not for the covid year..we would have had a 4 year streak on them..he I think would have been 1-2...

I believe it is more on AR , a little on coaching

Travis was 55% in his second year, 55% in his third year, 63% in his fourth year and 66% in his 5th year. He'll probably be 70% in his 6th year. AR can improve with coaching. No telling if he sticks around though. Seems like way too much of a project for any NFL team to spend money on. But after a couple years behind center, and better decision making, he might be worth drafting.

We were up 3 at half. just go coordinate a 4 min drive for a TD on the opening possession to start the 3rd, and I think we win the game. The run opens up the pass for AR, and we started the 3rd passing. Seemed like someone else was calling plays in the second half.

Yeah, pissed we didn't get to take them to the woodshed in 2020. They were lousy and Mullen hadn't fallen apart yet.

It's frustrating offensively when before the season when our HC said we'd be a run team and then at times this season we just completely abandoned it inexplicably.

I wonder what kind of promises coaches make to certain players in terms of featuring them in ways that will help them get drafted. you would like to think they don't do that. But I am sure this happens in basketball when a player says he will return for one more year to work on his outside game, for example. I'm inclined to just think he outsmarted himself by throwing instead of running and it backfired spectacularly.

I agree...guys like Travis can get away with it in college but he is too small for his game in the NFL and will not hold up and his passing is basically deep balls and jump balls.

Re AR. His running is not good enough to compensate for his inconsistent passing. If by some chance he returns next year (which I hope he doesn't) I'm afraid BN will stick with him out of loyalty. If his passing hasn't become better as the year went on what makes anyone think one more year will make a real difference? His inconsistency will mean an inconsistent offense which more than likely mean an inconsistent season kind of what we have now. We have great runners returning next year, what we need is consistent quarterbacking.
On the flip side, the D has to improve next year by a lot. One of the worst D in a long long time. Something has to change.

For those calling for a new OC, despite AR's inconsistency, we have scored lots of points, enough that if our D was simply average we would have a much better record.

Absolutely insane how long it takes to run this offense. How much time they waste getting back to the huddle, then waiting for the play call, then taking their time getting all the motions run and getting set. I hate it.
