Well, I agree, but that didn’t stop Biden from running in 2020 and won’t stop him in 2024. He is in good physical shape by all accounts. Unless that changes, he runnin.

I have the Democrats winning the 2024 election followed by another Capitol building insurrection by butthurt righties in January 2025. Hopefully this time the authorities won't be afraid to open fire.

    I

I never said he wasn’t. I said he might switch running mates.

Dont know your age, but I lived that. Was a teen but still well aware what was going on. Yes he was considered very conservative but he lost a close Republican primary in 1976 to Ford, so he was already a well established candidate. He served 2 terms as CA governor and in spite of his rhetoric wasn’t that conservative. He was obviously an actor, experienced announcer and a well established orator.

Now Desantis is young and perhaps he develops more skills as an orator and a politician, and sheds some of his most dickish aspects. Tacks moderate in some areas. Avoids enacting complete abortion bans, sticks with 15 weeks. If he does all that he can certainly be formidable. I’m a little skeptical though because he seems pretty self absorbed and the republicans will adore him most if he stays MAGA, and egotists tend to prefer adoration vs practicality.

Why does OP assume Trump would just walk away if Desantis beat him? Trump would do everything he could to hurt Desantis and the GOP including running as a third party candidate. The Dems will win easily

DeSantis is the future. The Democrats don’t have a counter for him. Biden’s win in 2020 was a repudiation of Trump. No matter how your side attempts to vilify DeSantis, he doesn’t have the Trump baggage. DeSantis wins in a cakewalk. You also have to consider the very likely recession coming. Housing is in shambles. Just takes a few months for it to flow through the economy, but Biden is in trouble.

This is how D's get one-term senators elected as POTUS. Whodats versus peak dipshittery.

Trump delivered the 50 year goal of RvW, so maybe it was worth it. Watching DeSantis bend the knee will def outrank the GOT finale. OR, watching Trump go Full Drogon on DeSantis for months will also be must-bear.

Joe ain't even running. Or Kamala. They'll sneak some "I'll take my chances" through the tesseract this 5D game of chess R's play always opens.

It's going to be hard to convince people to take your baseless conjecture seriously when you very publicly whiffed on the projections you made in the PA and GA Senate races.

The left doesn’t need to vilify Desantis. Trump’s gonna do it.

Not just whiffed but did it with bravado just like he is now. Speaking in absolutes about future events can really make one look like a fool.

He and others who do the same are deriving some sort of self satisfaction from it.

Unlike others I try to engage you in a serious way. Desantis may well win. But you clearly are just trolling and trash talking here, which doesn’t particularly interest me.

Maga-nation is still running things over in the GOP.

Trump Will Beat DeSantis By A Wide Margin In 2024, New Poll Shows

Former President Donald Trump will likely win against Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis by a wide margin in a hypothetical 2024 election for the Republican nomination, according to a new poll.

In a recent Emerson College poll, Trump received 55% support from Republican registered voters who participated in the survey. In comparison, only 25% said they favored DeSantis as the GOP's presidential nominee in a hypothetical 2024 election.

No other candidate for the Republican nomination reached double-digit support.
