Personally when I went there there in the 90s Florida was a great school. Being a top 5 school academically means nothing to me. Those rankings are more corrupt than the coaches poll. I don’t care if we became a technical school - I want a good football and basketball team. And right now we have neither.

The OC and DC is not the issue, the talent gap is the issue. Close the talent gap before you start changing things up.

Watching TN roll Kentucky. My question is, does our scheme approach theirs? Didn’t pay attention last year

I personally thought we came out flat without a lot of energy and emotion. Of course, maybe I am just projecting what I felt and what I saw in the parking lot to the team. Not been a big fan of Trey Dean, but seems like he had some good plays today. Offensive line, supposedly our strength, was overmatched today. AR was not great, but part of that had to do with issues with blocking by the line. Special teams had their usual penalties, but they at least had some decent returns today. I like that we had a spurt in the 3rd quarter, but having a spurt like that when you are already way behind doesn't mean as much to me (we saw the same in the UT and LSU games). Even with the spurt and closing the gap to 8 points, did any of you really think we had a legitimate shot to win. I did not. I just hope we can win the next 4 (winable) games, go to a bowl so that the young guys can get more work, recruit well, hit the transfer portal hard, and have improved talent for next year. No way to truly evaluate Billie and his staff and X and O coaches until they have better talent.

We are a really bad football team. We had a great 3rd quarter, but that’s it’s.

there is nothing good that we do
Offensive system is bad for the personal
    Offensive play calling is bad
    Route running is bad
    WRs blocking is bad
    Defense is bad
Defenders constantly have their backs to the ball and are clueless
    We miss tackles
We rarely get pressure on a qb

what do our 60 coaches do during the week? We aren’t getting better, we should win the next 4 —- but won’t

There are many dunces who seem to think that if you care about one thing it means you cannot care about another. If UF succeeds academically but is week in football, it is because we care too much about academics.

Ignore that Foley failed to put money into a football facility and that our last 4 coaches were not good (here or at their next stops). Don't let facts get in the way of a good story attacking the pernicious effect of academic prowess/intelligence on football....

Once we get the personnel Napier will need to develop a more cutthroat demeanor. He doesn't need to be an ass-hat, but he sure is gonna need to show whos boss. This is the SE freaking C! We hate other teams. Additionally, if we're playing a QB and he starts stinking it up...Yank the freeakt9+0&%$ dude. Ya gonna give up a game because you're trying to develop people? Now...maybe, but in the future? Nutz.

A tad more offensive creativity would be nice as well. We can always depend on the run, (and be run-centric) but as I mentioned before- running into the No.1 defense head on is pretty silly.

Here's the good news. Because Kirby is gonna piss and moan the Cocktail Party will eventually be moved. By the time they move it our recruiting should be caught up, we'll be realigned and a GA beatdown in the Swamp is forthcoming. Don nee no stinky ass poodle crap in the Swamp. Send that inbred mutt back yonder. HA!

Always fun. Sometimes more than others.

    Go Tenn.

    Go Gators.

This reads to me that his system is rigid and not adjustable to the players. The team didn't give up but the play calling on offense was pedestrian and predictable, regardless of QB play.

We've fallen so far behind that the rebuilding is gonna take a couple-few years. I think we are gonna see incremental changes each year until we're loaded. Napier is too meticulous in his planning to fumble this opportunity. He's smart enough to hear and listen to the noise.

Right now we are severely depleted and have been forever. If Mullen left a loaded roster, I'd be freaked out right now. But that did not happen. The graphic during the game said it all. We're not even in the same universe recruiting-wise. In a sample size, several years (I forget) they had 25 5 star kids, we had two. Think about that folks. You can surprise a few teams with a good showing sometimes, but consistent domination? Not happening with our roster. Just ain't. Love the kids. Best effort ever. Think about it, we're hovering around the SEC basement. Vandy and us.

Pray for 5 star recruits. We have a bucketload of 4 star kids recruited. A couple five stars would help. We will need a stud 5 star QB soon. It's happening before our eyes...(The monster rebuild) but it'll take time.

    Go Gators.;)

I think we're just that depleted this offense might not be as malleable as we'd like. We have two decent receivers. One QB that is hot and cold. Three decent RB's. An accurate thrower would help. People drop passes. QB's throw into the dirt. The coach tries to get cute to spark the team, the team can't pull it off. Talent issues.

I mean I'm expressing what frustrates me and what I'd like to see (we all are) but Napier isn't trying to lose. AR isn't trying to not to see the field. (great English)

Remember our championship teams? We did what we wanted when we wanted. It worked. We won a lot. It was Domination. It requires upper-level talent.

I'll need to reread that line when I'm really frustrated and revisit it when we're really good again.

    It's great to-be a Florida Gator.

    Go Gators.

It's frustrating to me. I see our OL standing around while our QB and RB's are getting mauled. I see our defensive backs scared to tackle. It's frustrating.

He did get sacked like you said, but he had plenty of time.
Don't you agree? it seemed like those were coverage sacks to me. So, who's to blame? Subpar execution, subpar coaching or perhaps the fact that we were facing the number 1 defensive team in the country? I see you chose subpar coaching. I usually don't like to criticize AR but he shows a shocking lack of awareness at times - throwing the ball away on 4th down, running out of bounds on 4th down, etc. Is the team getting better? I think so but others don't agree. We'll see.
