Playing or coaching doesn’t make an expert.

I think some people need to watch the GNFP and how they breakdown the film. They are going to say the same things this week they do every week.
    1. AR doesn't set his feet when he throws.
    2. When he is decisive and sets his feet (usually his first read), then he is able to make a great throw.
    3. AR hates turning his back to the defense, and has difficulty reading the defense after his back is turned.
If we are going to continue the same offense, which shows players open downfield, then we need a qb that can do those things well.

The punter's been pretty good, and Etienne has stepped up... I'll get back to you if I can think of anything else.

Three turnovers and Georgia still beats us by three touchdowns. That says it all where the two programs are at right now!!

I misread your post, but it doesn’t change the point. Napier hasn’t really done anything recruiting wise that Zook, McElwain or Muschamp didn’t do. They all pulled top 10 classes. This should pretty much be the standard at UF and really has been since the Spurrier days. Anybody can recruit to UF. Let’s stop acting like Napier is revolutionizing recruiting at Florida.

Very few QBs are successful in such a system. It’s not QB friendly at all. Turning back to the play with 2 route trees and no coverage beaters is antiquated football.

We can say all those things but after listening to those I trust and my own eyes:

AR doing well for the offense he’s playing in.

Not on AR that he does not run more. Very simple, head coach says “Anthony run the ball” or “ need you to keep defense honest by keeping on z read”. It’s not on QB. HBC gives emphasis to qb.

He needs to keep playing NCAA football if he wants to play in NFL. He is nowhere, and I mean NOWHERE close to being able to successfully take the field in a high stakes NFL game.

I think AR is a very likeable young man, and I want him to succeed in whatever he chooses to do. Unfortunately, I do not think pro sports is a long term gig for him because he is way too injury prone.

And he had "close but no cigar" Richt in front of him and Napier has/had...?

Perspective is a damn good thing to have at this time.

Yep, while so many go hard at AR they would need to dig deeper. This offense is very very basic.

    Meyer was on another level.

But as you said our other coaches all pulled great classes. Zook and Champ were quite good. The issue there was coaching. Napier may fall here, but only time will tell

McElwain was below those guys and Mullen below that. Mullen also had the problem of guys never seeing the field
