Say what you want but we can agree to disagree. They aren't good in my opinion and losing by a few to Georgia doesn't change that. They also lost to Auburn who is currently down 21 - 3 to UGA. Edit- sorry Georgia's QB just ran 64 yards to make it 28 - 3. So by the transitive property they're 29 points worse than themselves.

Almost doesn't really matter in the real world and almost not losing to the only good team on your schedule doesn't make you good.

I don't think having a close game against a good opponent means you're good. I didn't watch the game because who cares but you can chalk it up to lots of things more likely than Missouri being good. They're not. As I posted above they may have lost by a few to Georgia but they also lost to Auburn who is currently getting dominated by Georgia, and nobody argued auburn is good.

Mizzou isn't that great but they play hard for sure and do have some talent. We are what we are. A team that isn't going to cook anyone (except probably Vandy) and our wins will be 4 quarter fights

Well in your reply to me you omitted UGA. Seems you just want to argue then?

I never said they were good. Just that they’re not as bad as their record indicates. And you had a snarky response.

I did watch a good bit of their UGA game and they played one of the best teams in the country very tough. I’d bet that UGA beats UF by 2 TDs. Mizzou played them tougher than we will. Hope I’m wrong.

As I said before it was a good win and a team we should beat. But we are a pretty average, have little depth and are an inconsistent team.

I would NOT recommend reading what a few of the Louisiana clowns are saying about our coach. Talent is the key to winning, and basically he needs more than the other team to win games... by one score. Not sure why some of their fans would say that about their ex-football coach.

    This.

But he did win it for us. So there's that. I'm more concerned when he gets mopey. And he did today. Is he hurt? Is it frustration because he is. Is he just hard on himself? All the above? Who knows? But we did win and I give him credit. And, I do feel good our Number 3 QB is decent.

Some great stuff today. Some busts. And a win.

Mizzou is kind of like us. They are strong at times, and weak too. Inconsistent. They did come close to scaring the poop out of Georgia-I'll give them that.

Utah is making us look bad today-well, maybe it's UCLA.

    Go Gators.

Think it was the 3rd and 21 when Jason Marshall was beat at the sideline for the first down. It was not Jason's fault. Two receivers lined up towards the Mizzou right sideline. Travez Johnson was supposed to come up and take the inside WR. He was late to cover his position and WR so Jason was hung out to dry in no man's land trying to cover two WRs. It was an easy pitch and catch for the first down at a critical junction in the game.

On the 3rd and 15, Kimber had excellent coverage. It was just a better throw and catch to extend that possession.

Trey Dean per normal gave up a big gain on his side of the field in the 4th quarter.

With Marshall and Hill playing together, we just have to get better play in pass defense from our safeties. They are the weak spots in the defense. They're great in run defense, but not so much in pass defense.

Ventrell Miller probably played the best game of his career at MLB. He was sideline to sideline all game long.

I'd call our passing game pedestrian, but that is an insult to the word. 66 passing yards, really! Anthony Richardson is much better and his head is in the game when he is moving around. I thought he spent too much time trying to be a pocket passer today. He is just not there yet. If we want a pocket passer, start Jalen Kitna.

The defensive breakdowns have to be eliminated. Gonna cost us. Miller was Miller=awesome.

Then the argument that Mizz “almost” won doesn’t matter either. We won the game and outside of the 8 & 1/2 minutes in the 2Q I never really felt the game was in doubt. A win is a win.

Very Fair assessment of AR. When he is on, he’s firing on all cylinders. But when adversity strikes he becomes dejected and disengaged with the rest of the team. The talent is there but sometimes they just really need a leader.

Do we need more tempo? 46 plays is light. Do we slow it down because staff doesn’t have enough offend available to run 60+ ?

UCLA doesn’t or hasn’t recruited worth a flip, yet are undefeated. Hard to reconcile.

Looking at their depth chart, they are upper class (JR/SR) heavy with a handful of FR.

Interesting. But since 2019 they have not recruited better than like 33rd. Last cycle they were 62nd and this cycle sitting in the 80s, per Rivals. It’s definitely interesting. Lots of season left for a lack of depth to show up, but so far, so good for them.

We lost to this team last year. We beat them this year.

Pretty sure that means it was a good win.

Perhaps quite a few but I cannot find the portal tracker. Thought I had the link saved. Last cycle they only signed 12, which is ridiculously low. Maybe they brought in a bunch of transfers.

Jessie's and Joe's might matter more but scheme and organization seems to be a big deal in college ranks. People more savvy than I always complained about Mullen/grantham recruiting misfits and tweeners instead of players that filled position needs. We have players all over the field playing positions that they were converted to. Our lack of linebackers was a known issue with Grantham and his endless pursuit of rush ends. Ucla sure looked like they had football players all over the field today. Keep in mind Kelly has had horrible results up until this year.
