Like him or not as a head coach...I couldn't EVER imagine UT crowding the LOS like they did if Mullen were calling the offense. With Richardson playing very well Mullen would have busted them about 117 times like he did Georgia when they tried it. Heupel would still be seeing wheel routes and screens in his dreams for the next 5 days.

Unless AR starts seeing and delivering to the best option. More TDs. Unless Johnson and Etienne progress. More TDs. Unless the Oline gels further. More TDs. Unless the TEs become a bigger part of the offense. More you get the point.

Any improvement on defense will make the offense better. Special Teams ditto. Also assume the play calling will progress as the staff settles in. I could go on.

Not sure that’s accurate. Should the staff not have anticipated Tenn would sell out to stop the run? If so, what was the plan B?

Not sure. You have 5 OL vs a 7 man front. Seems more that we just weren’t ready.

Pretty sure plan B was AR throwing for over 450 yards.

Opponents defenses will stack the box on us and dare us to throw deep. Our WRs haven't been getting separation so far and if they can't somehow manage to do this we're screwed. Running plays and short passes won't cut it then. Everything on offense will become more difficult.

There has been separation and there have been wide open receivers. Recognition and timing need to improve.

WOW just WOW SMH, Napier told us this would take time! all this complaining and he TOLD YOU this was not going to be a quick fix. He knows what he has with this team. He has to play with what he has, with poor depth across the board.
AR is progressing and will get better with each start.
Montrell is very good RB and probably the best on the team.
I am very excited about Etienne he shows he can be dynamic.
    OL looks solid.
WR is still a question mark.
How many true freshmen are getting playing time? That should show you what Billy was left with.
Toney has his work cut out for him with the defense I am not going to single out specific players but time and time again it is the same guys caught out of position if there were quality depth behind these guys I am sure they would be playing.
Coach will grow and get better facing this level of competition.
bottom line is his team will not be consistently good for this year. there will be ups and downs (Utah-Kentucky) However this team has fight in them. They have shown determination and grit and I like it. When the recruiting improves and we get the players that BN wants is when this will all come together. SO I say to you RELAX we will get there.
As long as they keep improving and recruit at a high level BN will get us to where we want to be.
    GO GATORS!

I've listened to two games and saw the Tennessee game. Both games I listened to no one said much of anything about WRs getting open deep and I didn't see it against Tennessee, unless you call Shorter getting half a step on a defender separation.

Its amazing what our impression of this team is versus if just one play had gone our way against KY or UT so we won. Big difference in preception with winning 2 of our big 3 games and 1 of our big 3 yet it was a very fine line in both games.

We made 5 of 6 and you thought they were "poor" plays???

I think it speaks more of the "trust" of the defense! Way too many 2 yard carries to consider them to be doing "very well at run blocking". AR was under heavy pressure when he completed that long pass on 4th down, not much protection there. We went from a below average OL to to average, so we had an outstanding improvement. We couldn't run consistently against usf.

Well, Tennessee gave up a possession by running the ball to take time off the clock. I had the perception that if they wanted a TD at any time in the second half they would get it. Their poor secondary and strategy are what got the score respectable. Tennessee is gonna get worked by Uga, Bama and Kentucky because of their bad secondary. If we had any decent defense, we would have blown them out. Huge changes are needed in our defense. Georgia and aTm are using their true freshman. We need to turn to them also: Harris, McMillon, Young, McClellan, Boone, Moore, James, Scooby.

Thats all true but a if AR completes the last pass for a td we are sitting at #12 and everyone is talking about scared money dont make money and how our team knows how to not give up and claw back in any game. Post game would have been a real high too making the Vols win go poof one more time.

I'm down with that, but I am concerned about this defense improving more than perception.

One thing is for sure, if you're an interior guy in the front 7 then you have to be seeing playing time galore at UF. Especially DTs and NGs
