What is our biggest positional need? Likely flips? How many more can we take for the 2023 class? How do we finish? Who would absolutely complete the class?
Landing Baxter helps immensely... Kearney flip would be nice... Keon Keeley would be a rankings changer. James Smith at DL...Qua Russaw at DL... Dijon Johnson at DB... Cormoni McClain at DB... Some others that I would like too. Jordan Hall, Tomarrian Parker, Xzavier McLeod, John Walker. And if we land Kearney we still need one more O-Lineman/OT... don't know which one. That's unrealistic but it's my best case scenario. 30 commitments? Ouch, not happening... unless Napier says so.
Your best case is not even that good... considering who we have interested in the Gators. Lol. Remember, we have a new coaching staff now. That last one is LONG GONE.
There almost certainly will be 2 more OL, and there will be another 1-2 DT (McDonald, Hall, Walker, etc).
I know we are looking at this through the lens of 1 game and the impression that atmosphere made …and we are going to have a couple of down moments as the season goes. But I do think the relationship factor between CBN and the recruits and their families definitely has legs. He’s real. He’s authentic. He’s honest …and I think the whole world sees that. Having said that …even when things were slow on the trail I always felt 12-16 was the floor. If anything, the vibe over the last 6 weeks has me raising the ceiling to 3-5.
15 - 5 ranking. Hit those five stars and here we go. Must guard against complacency. The M’s had early success on the field and didn’t follow up on the recruiting trail. I think we’re all in this time.
Worst case, we lose two commits, a WR and a DL, whiff on McLain and Johnson and finish with a handful of three star OL and LB. Best case, Kearney, Lomu or Jones, Russau or Keeley, one of Smith, Walker, McDonald and Hall, McClain, Johnson and a some random 4 star LB who flips from another school.
WORST case is losing guys committed right now in large numbers. Scrambling for leftovers That's WORST case.
That's like saying worst case scenario is losing the rest of our games for the season, Florida peninsula breaks from the continental U.S. and the moon falls. Worst case scenario is the reasonable floor.
No sir. A worst-case scenario is a concept in risk management in planning that considers the most severe possible outcome that can ***reasonably*** be projected to occur in a given situation. It’s not worst case to a silly extreme. Moon falling ain’t it. Peninsula break is kinda We’re just 2 people who disagree- and I’m praying for BEST case scenario 1000%
Yet that’s a silly scenario. Like an asteroid is hitting earth and we need to send some actors to save us.
