I think they actually said here is how we can get more oil and gas going, this is what is holding us back.

Why will Biden sit down with Saudi's and not our own energy companies?
Here's why the far left green Nazi's won't stand for it. They hate fossil fuels regardless of the cost to average and low income American's.

When I look at oil production I dont see a negative Biden impact... what am I missing? Three out of 4 years he out performed Trump and Biden's overall average is 2% higher than the Trump administration.

Do you honestly believe this partisan drivel? Gas prices have risen around the world, not just in the US. Biden has also initiated the two largest releases from the strategic petroleum reserve in its history and prices still haven’t come down. This is a much larger issue spanning half a century across 10 presidents from both sides of the aisle in which no new oil refineries have been built. Trump tried to save one in 2019 but wasn’t able to.

This is getting to a boiling point because truckers are running out of diesel fuel for their semis...

WV versus EPA -- Is coming down the Pike soon, so that will be very interesting and seminal to of at least one agency's problems with regard to abusive EPA fossil fuel regulations.

You see the expected increase in production due to the reopening from shutdowns. That's not because of Biden it's in spite of Biden.

When things go down it’s Biden and when they go up it’s in spite of Biden. Totally makes sense… for you.

At least you don’t have an explanation on US production and cost of gas.

Production would have increased following the reopening regardless of who was in the White House.

I've been very clear, the surge in prices isn't all due to Biden but he hasn't helped. His anti fossil fuels stance "I'm gonna kill the oil industry" helped set the stage to make it harder to bring more supply and capacity online. (EPA regs, lack of permits being issued)
Production is tied to anticipated demand, when the world began to reopen everyone predicted we would need more supply (that's why oil stocks rose). Perhaps the demand was more and faster than anticipated. Then Russia decided to be assholes and that made it worse. But gas was already going way up before that happened.

The only help was China shutting back down that lowered demand.

You often belly postshere about how the UE under Trump soared but you willfully ignore it was directly due to COVID.

    100%.
So the post pandemic increase in production is not because of Biden. You agree with me there.

The only facts in your statement was you suggesting fewer leases issues. That’s not true.

New Data: Biden’s First Year Drilling Permitting Stomps Trump’s By 34%

Look man. All you guys ever talk about is that Biden doesn’t give oil companies hugs. That’s ridiculous. Production is up. Lease issues are up. Demand is actually lower. You know what is driving prices up? Do you? It’s that OPEC is under producing vs historical levels. US can’t offset that no matter what. It has nothing to do with Biden saying anything. Zero.

No it wasn't and once again although the decision may have been the correct one at the time the high price of gas is almost entirely attributable to the cutback in production negotiated by Trump in April 2020 exacerbated by the reduced exports to European countries from Russia. Production while increasing has yet to match prepandemic levels.

Then I guess Biden needs to be more Trump like and get OPEC to do what he wants?
I assuming you think that will solve the price issue?

Is it your contention Biden has no part in the spike of oil and gas then or doing anything to lower it?

Certainly his past words don't give the oil industry any feelings of him having their back.

Flashback – Joe Biden: 'I Guarantee You We’re Going to End Fossil Fuels' (breitbart.com)
Then-candidate Joe Biden said in 2019 that he would “end” the fossil fuel industry in the United States.

Biden said something similar in 2020 on the Democrat primary debate stage. Biden promised to wage war on the American oil industry by terminating subsidies and drilling feasibility.

“No more subsidies for the fossil fuel industry,” Biden said. “No more drilling, including offshore. No ability for the oil industry to continue to drill, period,” Biden said of his energy policies if he won the presidency. “It ends.

“I want you to look at my eyes. I guarantee you, I guarantee you we’re going to end fossil fuels,” he said in New Castle, New Hampshire.

More outrage over no hugs for big oil. You still can’t layout a non emotional argument over Biden’s impact on oil prices. Just lack of love. Come. On. Man.

While the quotes from Biden were accurate, it should be clear that he was talking about future policy. Unless I missed it, I do not recall the Biden Administration forcing the closure of any existing operating offshore oil platforms, the closure of any currently operating oil pipelines or the forced closure of any oil fields cease production. Speaking of the debate, a little context is helfpul.
As far as getting OPEC to do what he wanted, Trump was successful in large part because it was in the interest of OPEC to cut production. It's extremely unlikely that OPEC will increase to production to the point where the price of oil would drop to the prepandemic levels since a significant drop in the price of petroleum would not be in the interest of the cartel. Maybe Biden can persuade the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to increase production to the point in which the worldwide price of oil drops somewhat. Absent a major worldwide recession and the end of war in Ukraine we're probably never going to see the price of oil below $80 a barrel (it was near $61 per barrel at the end of 2019, very briefly dropped almost to $11 a barrel following the Covid shutdowns in 2020 and ended that year at $48.52).

I thought the Euorpeans cared about greenhouse gas emmitions?

I thought that if you signed the Paris Climate Treaty that you would never go backwards towards fossil fuels for power... especially not burning coal for power. French hypocrisy in real life. But of course they have an excuse...

After a warning from the head of three power companies, France’s government has announced that it will restart a coal-fired plant this winter.

A coal-fueled power plant in the north-east of France is due to be restarted by the country’s government this winter in order to better combat energy insecurity resulting in part due to ongoing hostilities with Russia.

The announcement that the Saint-Avold will be brought back online comes shortly after the heads of three major energy companies in France warned that the general public must “immediately” cut back on energy use to better enable officials to better handle energy insecurity.

According to broadcaster RTL, officials have said that the coal-fired plant is being brought back into service “a precaution, given the Ukrainian situation”.

Le Figaro meanwhile notes officials as saying that they will be including so-called “environmental compensation” as part of the plan to reactivate the plant, with the publication claiming that an environmentally neutral reopening for the plant has been demanded by government.
