    Notes:
If Luke Heyman gets here I expect him to start at catcher but I'm leaving Lastres there until we know more about his recovery.
You can see we have somewhat of a hole in backup infielders. Look for us to add 1-2 in the portal or late JuCo.
Everything I've read on Tejeda sounds great and makes me think he has a shot at starting this year. If not I'd like to see Robertson playing in left.
Does Langford move from LF to CF? I think he would be great covering all that space so sure let's see him take Jud's acre of land.
One predicament we have Caglianone, Isaac, and Moran all throw and bat LH all going to try and play 1B. Isaac sounds like a high level hitter like Cags so where else could one of them play other than Cags on the mound? My guess Cags starts at first when he is not pitching and Isaac covers first when Cags is on the mound.

Not arguing but wonder about Purnell, 2 seasons as a walk on and had some less than stellar outings could be a portal guy if the bull pen looks improved with new arms

the last couple of seasons have been so impacted by covid, what is happening with this year's mlb draft (# rounds), as well as college scholarships and roster sizes? I have to imagine the portal is going to be extremely active.

Signee Landon Moran will be going to Stetson. There is also a JUCO MIF Alex Ulloa, a 4th round pick of Houston last year but didn’t sign, who has announced he plans to attend UF. He didn’t have a great year at Yavapai and not sure he’ll actually end up in Gainesville but he’s definitely someone to keep an eye on. Originally from Calvary Christian in Ft Lauderdale.

Didn’t Pogue go out with the seniors on Senior day as if he was leaving?

If you’re talking about the kid I think you’re talking about his batting average may be due to him using a wood bat most of the year. I think that is the same kid.

Exactly my concern with our catching situation… The one high school kid is definitely coming but if Heymon doesn’t come and BT leaves we will have just have Alvarez and and Lastres so one catcher that can throw. Portal catcher becomes a must.

Great question. I’ll ask around. Had a decent second half and is a very highly respected teammate.

So much of next year depends on BT and even Pogue. W out BT, catching position to me is a major worry. Pogue, I don’t think he’s a weekend starter, coming back would be huge. Gives us an excellent mid week guy and very solid 4-5th starter.

I thought I read that he expected to be the starting catcher the entire year and then BT was brought in as a transfer and that didn't set well with him???? I hope he changes his mind and eventually takes his name out of portal, but it doesn't sound like that will happen.

Unfortunately, Lastres won't be catching (throwing) for a while and the story behind how he hurt his arm is bizarre if rumored story is true (we asked to throw bullpen to see if he could pitch?)

As it stands now, if he were to come back Pogue might be our Fri night guy.....if I were Sully I would tell him exactly that to get him back and improve his stock. Another year removed from TJ should improve his velocity, and he did an admirable job battling this year without his best stuff. May have taught him how to "pitch" a little.
Neely seems to be a nice game 2 guy. Sunday maybe Coppola if healthy or a new face
