Clemson does not let kids commit unless they intend to shut down their process. Once they commit there is supposed to be an understanding they will no longer take visits. He probably just wanted to take more visits so he had to decommit. Dabo has been doing it for years.

I must be older because I can remember his grandfather Vernell Brown Senior when he played for the Gators along with his great uncle, Johnell Brown. I just found another Johnell Brown online who is currently playing for South Carolina State. I seem to remember that Johnell and Vernell Senior's dad played college football but I don't recall where.

Yeah, But... when SOS did lose, it was big time--3-45 vs UTenn and 30-45 vs FSWho. One slip up against Bama and we would have been 8-3 and no SEC title to be denied. I love SOS, don't get me wrong, but there were times when he didn't walk on water.

That was year 1 and while Tennessee was a debacle after halftime the fsu game was closer than the score and dare I say had some b.s. calls. 9-2 with one blowout on the road and a second loss to a top 5 team on the road was a great first year. Fsu was 10-2 and finished 4th in the country.

Again, all of that was done while making wholesale changes to the offense which again is a rarity to have such success under those circumstances.

If the HBC had a flaw…. And I say IF…. He’d ride a horse into the ground. His theory was, the plays work, we’re just not executing. I wouldn’t dare argue.
Calling pitches for softball games. Sometimes, you just have to move away from what’s not working. No matter how well you think she can throw a certain pitch, some days it just doesn’t get off the bus with her.

Loved Spurrier, as he made watching Gator football fun. Dominated SEC East and had a high scoring offense. However, he had a losing record versus FSU. FSU was a great team at that time.

When we were up by damn near 30 at half and kept throwing the same pick in the second half till we lost. It was like he thought it had to work eventuality.

That sounds like 93. I think we were up pretty good in that one. 94 had some picks but that was a tight game throughout
