jeff, I agree we have some wealthy alumni and businesses. Our AD should have been educating these people businesses of the opportunities. But we are not in LA where TV is everywhere and commercial sponsors litter the place, same with New York. We need the athletic administration to want to outbid players where we are thin. Think Kentucky, Duke, NC, Kansas. These teams have agents working with them to direct players to them, think Kansas with Udeh.
Yes assuming no injuries and yes to back up CC. Who do we currently expect to start at the 4? With CC at the 5 we could conceivably start Jitoboh at the 4 but then that's 2 big guys potentially having to chase around 3-point shooters if they play 4 out.
That's why I mentioned UCLA, but I don't see who would dominate the NY market if any college team. It's a pro sports city. Also, I think we are not only a national brand but in some countries an international brand. I've been to Gators games with local alumnus/groups in I think 5 countries. I was part of a Gators group in Toronto, Canada. I went to an all-Gators bar in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Anyway you get the idea. We should leverage that brand recognition. Thinking only local, especially in the age of the online, limits us.

Basketball needs to follow football in facilities and student housing. Having said that, I think it came down to PT and need at the position.
Broome has played 2 years in college as a starter. He has yet to make a 3. Can you please let us know why he would have started making 3’s if he played for the Gators?
He hit his threes, rebound both ends, and could defend three positions when he wasn’t hurt. He just needs to get healthy.
When healthy, Felder shot 38.9% (to 40+%) from the 3-point line - making 14/36 from deep. The 3-pt-FG% led the whole team. We shall see if Felder can continue to shoot that well from deep at that similar rate. 2021-22 Florida Gators Stats | ESPN Last season, Felder only averaged 12.1 min/G in 30 games. However, if you could project those minutes to about 18-22 min/G, Felder's productivity should increase to about say about 8-10 ppg and 5-7 reb/G. Felder would probably share the power-forward position with incoming LSU transfer, Alex Fudge. If Felder continues to be slowed down with injuries, then more minutes would go to Fudge and maybe someone else like Niels Lane. Look at some of the games(below link) where Felder averaged 16+ min/g (very few of them) against teams like California, Ohio St, Maryland, Stony Brook, Alabama, Kentucky, Texas A&M, etc. Felder had games ranging from 8-12 pts and 5-6 reb. Yes...and don't take enough medications. And to that, yes this year has been a tough one for our "traditional" sports. Hitting the reset button comes with typical gyrations. Nothing that I have seen has been "red flag worthy". And I am talking both basketball and football. When we don't have baseball and the Sears Cup rankings to take up some of our anxieties, too much time to focus on the off-season sports. Now if I hear that CC is going to be our new PG, well then THAT is probably going to get me looking for where I stored my flag.

If there were no injury concerns, our front court would be slightly thin. (We basically have 2 5’s, which is fine, and a small ball 4). The problem is both our 5’s have some degree of injury or conditioning concern coming in to next year (Jitiboh obviously has always been limited minutes based on conditioning), and even our small ball 4 has a concern just because he was never seemingly 100% last year. It’s pretty imperative we add at least one more imo, just to have a normal rotation. I thought that the second Reed de-committed . Basically a true 4 that could also cover the 5 if need be, just because there are so many ?’s at both spots. Obviously Castleton is a locked in starter for big minutes, the only question there is 100% health. Just 1 injury would immediately expose us to problems.
