Do you honestly believe that the oligarchs who fund Putin's bank accounts have no influence with him? The pressure is being applied to his posse so they apply pressure on Putin

Yes they are. The IDF has been very good at upgrading their equipment.

Agreed (and even he pushed it further than I would have thought given his fairly outspoken support of Putin in the past). But they have had a number of athletes directly address it, which is interesting, and usually in a pretty negative fashion for Putin.

The Russian people aren’t Putin. Now the Oligarchs … maybe they actually have a vote

He did, I believe the UK told him he wasn't allowed to live there however. I don't know how voluntarily it was in his behalf to step away.

My thought is being an unchecked dictator for over 20 years has to warp the mind. If nobody tells you no for 20 years you can forget that it happens. He is seeing the truth for the first time in decades.

The British are kind. I would seize his property without compensation as a war measure under some BS about reparations for the people of Ukraine. If he doesn’t like it, he may challenge it in court once the pre-invasion 2014 international borders are re-established. Not one moment sooner.

Stepped away out of the limelight is one thing. Losing the team just because he is Russian is just wrong. There is talk that the UK may seize his assets. He has owned the team for 20 yrs.

Yep. War is hell. I see a lot of assets being destroyed or stolen right now just because their owners are Ukrainian. Sucks, doesn’t it?

Hypocrisy! For 20 yrs the locals were happy with the 2 billion he put into the team and the British government was happy to collect the taxes he generated.

No. They haven't sanctioned any of the oligarchs yet. UK invited and became addicted to Russian money. Londongrad is the nickname manybthere give to it. UK could apply much more pressure if they chose to do so.

Spain has joined the airspace ban.

Also, Japan is joining removing Russia from SWIFT.
