A lot of squirrels in your response. Apply the KISS formula. Many history books will be written about this. In the history books it will be stated what measures were taken to combat COVID. It will say many resisted because.....

If you want to be quoted directly, in a few sentences state why you resisted. Because thus far, collectively, that resistance did not bode well no matter how many alternative measures you state. We are talking about all of us...collectively. Not just you.

To be blunt, in the end that collective mindset, and those who contributed to it, cost hundreds of thousands of lives because we are all interconnected. It didn't cost you individually, but collectively it has been devasting. You can do all the body-bending acrobatics you want to explain that away, but there it is. And I think the history 30 years from now will agree.

OK? Isnt this a good thing? Perhaps we can finally get a more definite answer. If it shows as ineffective will you believe it? If it shows as effective will you believe it?

See you are implying as a fact the vaccine saved more lives lives and no other ways could have. The data shows as a whole the same groups are dying. The older and immune compromised are the groups at high risk. Vaccinated or Unvaccinated. These drugs provided a potential therapeutic help for those who got the virus. The data appears to show the monoclonal antibodies likely work far better. Hence the vaccinated take them also. Healthy young people are at low risk.

The idea of pushing hard to get high risk groups vaccinated while we study the low risk groups and put more money at the drug that appears to work better is absolutely a fair thing to consider in what might have worked better. Your apparent denial shows the bias you have. Maybe it would have been better if more people had been vaccinated. It is an impossible task to get an answer to and a waste of time and energy. We are where we are. Boosters for all and Monoclonals for all.

Why is it that states with high vax rates did so much better than states with low vax rates?

You have to get COVID first to get monoclonal antibodies. And, endure the risks before and after treatment. Let’s be clear about the BS you spread. You advocate no vaccines and full openings with sick people grated by synthetic antibodies. As well as dismissing the consequences of the disease on the elderly and infirm. Utterly foolish. Really stupid. And contradicted by worldwide experience. You condemn vaccines as experimental without long term experience, and advocate for sickness and then treatment with an even newer synthetic antibody treatment that similarly has no long term evaluation.

In short order, mandates and distrust of the government. People are resistant to force, and the distrust of the government led to the spread of misinformation. Our health experts have had many opportunities to provide more information that would help alleviate the spread of misinformation, but they've failed to do so. Politics have also contributed to distrust of the government (picture, if you will, Trump and Biden jointly promoting the vaccine...ok, I know you're head just exploded). Inconsistent messages from the government have also been problematic; it's not just a matter of when what we learn changes, the recommendations change (that should be expected)...we have seen some hypocrisy and inconsistencies fail to be addressed.

We have completely botched this from an administrative level at both the federal and state levels. Hopefully we can learn from this and be better prepared to handle this the next time around. When they write about it, for the sake of future generations, I hope they are honest and include many perspectives.

Have you seen Vermont and Maine? California is on the rise and worried.

Some vaccinated states have faired better. Some unvaccinated states have faired better. What we do know is age and health play a huge factor. Regardless of vaccination status.

This is pure hogwash and a lie. I have never advocated no vaccines.

Some of you are so biased that you cannot stop from creating a belief you want to believe. I really wonder if you are purposely lying here or just so lost in the propaganda that anyone who suggests a person should be able to decide whether they inject themselves with a new drug automatically advocates stopping and getting rid of the new drugs. On top of that I have always approached monoclonal with a soft approach in saying they “appear” to be working better. As we don’t know for sure.

Try to get away from the propaganda. And I ask that you do not lie and misrepresent me on purpose. As it feels that is what you are doing.

Yesterday Vermont was 12th in the country in per capita new cases. California was 34th. Maine didn't report cases yesterday, but over the course of the entire pandemic, they are 49th in per capita cases.

California has climbed their way up to 11th in fewest new COVID hospitalizations per capita (CDC data current through 11/13).

    Top 10:

    Hawaii (3.5 per million)
    Mississippi
    Louisiana
    Rhode
    Connecticut
    FLORIDA (8.1 per million)
    South Carolina
    Alabama
    Maryland
    Arkansas (8.9 per million)

Anyone who has contributed to the collective mindset to resist reasonable precautions and vaccines. That cost a staggering amount of lives and was absolutely needless. It's tragic. I'm not getting into mandates. If the vast majority had followed those measures the whole argument of mandates wouldn't be needed.

I see a lot of reverse engineering of explanations for stated behavior. Instead of the order of: problem presented and moving to a solution produced by the vast majority of the medical community. I am seeing the opposite logic process. I believe XYZ, and I don't like other explanations, so I will construct an argument that leads to XYZ. It's common and I bet we have all done that previously, but in this case it's a deadly prospect. You see it with global warming as well. At some point it is pointless to argue. People will believe what they want to believe and will construct an argument to support that, no matter what is presented to them. If I have a bias, it's an admitted bias towards the scientific and medical community. I'm comfortable with that. This is their lane. I pretty much ignore those who are out of their lane.

With unvaxxed largely accounting for the new cases and serious cases. But, let’s not let facts get in the way

It's easy to misinterpret when nearly 100% of your posts are anti vax. Sure you may say occasionally that certain people should be vaxxed, but almost all of your posting energy is misrepresenting information to make the vaccine looks dangerous and bad.

I think the side many take, including myself, is to whatever the evidence says. If it turns out to be effective, that's great. However I'd expect at best it would be a marginal benefit.

Posting energy? Are your chakras aligned?

You consistently LIE about the vaccine’s ability to mitigate the spread of the virus.
