Sure, where do hospitalizations come from, what behaviors do we have to convince people to change to reduce hospitalizations?

My benchmark was everyone having the opportunity to be fully vaccinated with a highly effective COVID vaccine.

Everyone was masking last summer indoors. Now? Yeah, many people don't believe masks work(with good reason).

    Vaccinate.

And how do you do that? You say, if you're vaccinated, you can go back to normal.

How do you not do that? You say, get vaccinated, but you're going to have to keep doing all of the same things you were doing before you were vaccinated... and if you don't agree with me and don't get vaccinated you're a selfish, stupid idiot.

No, you're only allowed to whine about draconian protocols if they actually draconian. You haven't identified any that are.

I gave you my definition. I can't speak for everyone else. I don't wear a mask everywhere I go. But I take my cue from others. If most people are masked, I'll mask too, mainly out of consideration.

Initially there was no required masking for my HS kid this year. I was OK with that. Now there is. I'm OK with that too

If you think masking is "draconian", then whatever I say will not be good enough. In good faith i answered your question but it seems like you just want to partisan posture.

Get off your damned high horse, i_boy.

Stop acting like you're above partisanship. Sometimes you skew to the right, sometimes you skew to the left. But the notion that you are free from partisanship and are in some way special just because you have opinions that skew right and left on certain issues is just absurd.

You've taken your stand on this issue, own it. And get over yourself.

That isn't a metric. That is a moving target as well. Define "opportunity" and "highly effective."

WTF are you talking about? Own what?

I tried to give you a good faith answer. That's all I can do. If you want to die on the hill of the treachery of wearing a surgical mask, have at it.

    I've been here long enough.

I think it would save me a lot of time if you just answered the following questions:

    1. Is the vaccine highly effective?

    2. Who, apart from children who are at low risk, have not had the opportunity to take the vaccine and what percentage of the population do they take up? I don't need a specific number, just ballpark.

So you don't have an answer to my question? I asked you to define something for your metric and you returned with a request for me to define your metric?

Own that you're every bit as partisan on this issue as I am.

You snuck that jab in there at the end, don't act all coy now.

You don't have an answer to mine?

And you have to admit, mine are much quicker than yours.
