Pretty good day for some Gator hitters yesterday.

India also went 2-5 and is now hitting almost .280. Leading off for the Reds.

    Z went 1-3. Not a HR though.

The above clip didn’t show Alonso’s 2nd shot of the night. A 450’ blast to Left CF.

Alonso with his 22nd of the year. He has been heating up of late. With a good run, he could get to 40 again.

    Alonso with #23 tonight.

Disco got touched up a bit yesterday by the Dodgers. 4ER in 2.2IP. 10-5 on the year with a 3.10 ERA.

A great defensive catcher with that kind of power is very old school.

Hey, he isn't Bench, Fisk, Yogi or Rodriguez, but not many are.

Jonathan India with quite a good July

India, Haase named Rookies of the Month
Infielder Jonathan India of the Cincinnati Reds has been voted the National League Rookie of the Month for July, and backstop Eric Haase of the Detroit Tigers has been voted the American League Rookie of the Month for July. The announcements were made earlier today on MLB Network.
    Jonathan India, Cincinnati Reds (@jonathan_india)

    • Batted .319 (29-for-91) with 20 runs scored, seven doubles, four home runs, 12 RBI, 18 walks and a .527 slugging percentage over 25 games played.

    • Recorded his first career multi-homer game on Friday night against the New York Mets. Became the sixth rookie in franchise history to homer twice in a game from the leadoff spot, joining Gary Redus (1983), Eric Davis (1984), Kal Daniels (1986), Jay Bruce (2008) and Nick Senzel (2019).

    • Notched at least one hit in all but six of his 25 games, while tallying eight multi-hit efforts.

    • The versatile infielder, who was the fifth overall selection in the 2018 MLB Draft by the Reds, enters play today pacing NL rookies in runs (57), walks (51) and on-base percentage (.401). Currently ranks fourth in the NL in OBP and is vying to become just the third rookie in MLB history to lead his league in on-base percentage (Joe Jackson, .468, 1911 & Cuckoo Christensen, .426, 1926).

Richie Martin called up today by Os. Just came off 60 day & was expected to return to Norfolk.. Little bit of surprise, but did just trade Galvez back to Philly.

Eric Davis was one of my favorite players to watch.

Really fast in CF and had some pop in his bat, but not so overwhelmingly awesome like Mantle, Mays or Junior.

Just a little bit lower, but still awesome.

India 3-5 on the day. Up to .284 I think on the season.

Z with his 21st of the year.
