Its going to be odd when California beats Florida again for a major sports championship*

    *Assuming my Dodgers win tomorrow

28 teams will be sitting at home for the World Series wishing they had some of that scorn.

I've been avoiding this thread out of silly superstitions of jinxing things. It feels kind of greedy to want a Stanley Cup and a World Series in the same year. Curious to see if it's the Braves or the Doyers after tonight.

A note about Arozarena: last year, the Rays traded one of their top pitching prospects to the Cards for Jose Martinez and Arozarena. Arozarena was kind of an unknown prospect in the Cards' system, but when I checked around, everyone I talked to said he was the player the Rays were targeting all along. In spring training, he was raking (seems like forever ago) but got hurt.

He got Covid too I heard last night. I love stories like this. He defected from Cuba, played in the Mexican League, then with the Cards, and then the Rays wanted him badly. The rest is history. Great story.

Nice couple of days of baseball, the cheating stros are out and the Braves once again flame out.

Go Rays in the series :D

Yeah, that was Kiermaier! And, although you can't pick it up from the audio on that video clip, during the original broadcast (if you had the volume turned up like I did) you could clearly hear KK yelling "Go Gator"!

If not for the virus I could've gone to Game 3, 4, or 5 because I will be in St Pete for the IndyCar races this weekend. Oh well I guess I will find a watch party.

World Series tickets are more expensive then they were in 2018 when I went vs the Red Sox here in LA. Oh well.

So NHL, NBA, and now MLB represented by Florida in the finals. That bodes well for the Bucs/Dolphins. Hopefully it carries over to the college level as well.

Tampa Bay Bucs: 1st place NFC South

Jacksonville Jaguars. OK, well, 8 out of 9 aint bad.

    That's pretty crazy!

A friend (of a friend) of mine put 100 bucks on parlay for the Lightning to win the East, Rays to win the AL, and the Bucs to win the NFC (Basically all teams going to the finals). It pays 19,500. I imagine he will be sweating out a lot of Bucs games in the next couple months.
