not to be-little any deaths, but 246,000 is a far cry from the initial estimate of 1.2-1.5 million, and as of now we are are at about 1200.

The same naive Republican Governor that said 100k already had it in Ohio weeks ago and then went crazy lockdown level afterwards. :D

Press conference coming up. Ought to be interesting to see how the Trumpster spins the worsening situation as testing starts revealing the true extent of this pandemic. “Beautiful day,” he begins. Good lord!!

again not to downplay the virus, but for several weeks now the experts have said the coming week will be really bad, my question is, when is the bad coming week going to occur, are they going to go on week to week saying its coming?

It's called leadership Fever. He sees the data. He isn't a liberal conspirator.

Less than 5 minutes in, he’s attacking the press. Subtly blaming Obama for the lack of supplies.

Apparently the WHO feels that China has actually been pretty forthcoming and reliable with reporting their info. They’re disinformation is largely to their own people. Not exactly a “Good Job!” accolade, but world health experts seem to think their reported numbers are reliable. They are at least within an acceptable range to other countries regarding percent of tests resulting in a positive, mortality, etc.

maybe i am a optimist, but i cannot help but feel that hearing the same doom and gloom speeches day after day after day in not really good for people, by now we know the dangers, can see the statistics, enough with the daily beatdown.

100k could have had the virus a week ago with no symptoms. And no way to test only but a few. 6000 to 8000 would be cases confirmed because they are now seeing symptoms and can now get tested. It's possible that both statements are true.

Media: "Sir, you've been President for 3 years, did not follow the NSC's playbook, did not invoke the DPA, and downplayed the virus. How can you blame Obama?"
Trump: "Obama didn't do the work for me, like he did with the economy. It's his fault. You all know how incompetent I am."

Was wondering how long it would take to get to the modern “Jews poisoning the wells” canard. Usually it’s double speak like Soros-globalist-Zionist. Got to be impressed with his brazen attempt to break out the Plague rhetoric.

He's a one trick pony and his followers eat it up, so he's going to stay in his wheelhouse. He isn't intelligent enough to develop new material.

Absolutely disagree. Millions upon millions of people are still not taking this seriously enough. I don't give a crap if this makes people sad. Having a loved one die alone on a vent is sadder.

How are you defining "bad coming week"?

A week ago we were adding less than 5,000 new cases and 50-ish deaths per day. Yesterday we added 13,000 new cases and 250 deaths. Is that not bad enough for you?

The 13,000 new cases we added yesterday was more than all the cases added from January up through March 19th. The new deaths for just yesterday were more than all the deaths up through March 20th. And we are set for higher daily numbers today once they are all tallied. I would call this a pretty bad week.
