Lammons close with coach T-Rob

Chris Lammons is not a man of many words, but if you put him on the football field, he let’s his playing do the talking for him.

Lammons, a 5-foot-9, 170-pound cornerback from Plantation (Fla.) High School was one of the top prospects at Friday Night Lights. Lammons was quick, made a few great plays on the ball, and plays taller than his physical height.

Lammons was excited to get back to the University of Florida and attend Friday Night Lights, “It was a good day. It was exciting to be around all of the other commitments and around all the coaches.” Lammons continued, “it was great talking to Quincy (Wilson – defensive back (University School Ft. Lauderdale (Fla.)) and (defensive backs) coach T-Rob (Travaris Robinson). Coach Muschamp, also, came up and talked to me and told me that the really want me here and to become a part of that family.” Lammons, also mentioned, that he thought that the talent level at Friday Night Light’s was “outstanding.”

Lammons eagerly said that he was excited to talk again to coach T-Rob. Tonight, Robinson told him to just keep playing hard and continue to do the right things that he was taught, and he will be a great player at the next level. Lammons has a great relationship with coach Robinson, and that although he is “very intense,” he is a really friendly guy to be around and that he “gets along with everybody.” Lammons continued, that he keeps in close contact with coach Travaris Robinson, University of South Carolina secondary coach Grady Brown, and University of Tennessee defensive backs coach Willie Martinez.

Lammons, whom has already released his top-five schools (Alabama, Florida, Miami, South Carolina, Tennessee) said, that he still plans on making his decision right before his first game of the season, or right after.

(There have been some rumors floating around that Lammons will join wide receiver Ermon Lane and defensive back Quincy Wilson and announce their collective decisions August 10th on ESPN.)
