Gators Jump Two Spots in AP, Coaches Polls

After beating top-25 ranked Missouri 83-52 on Saturday, the Florida Gators men’s basketball team received a bump in both the Associated Press and Coaches polls on Monday.

The Gators jumped up two slots in the AP’s poll, going from No. 10 to No. 8. Florida’s home victory against the Tigers impressed the coaches enough to also push the Gators up to spots, as UF went from No. 9 last week to No. 7 this week. Florida is also sixth in the RPI rankings.

After playing two games in the span of three days last week, the Gators’ schedule is more spaced out this week. Florida will head to Athens, Ga., to take on Georgia (7-10, 1-3 SEC) on Wednesday, before heading to Starkville, Miss., on Saturday for a game against Mississippi State (7-9, 2-2 SEC).

Both games are scheduled to start at 8 p.m.
