Gator Country members, now is the time to book your trip to Las Vegas. The Gator Country staff is here to give you some money making predictions on every weekly game across the Top 25 and SEC. The staff will also provide some insider takes on the toughest decisions to make each week.

Be sure to check Gator Country every Thursday this season to see who we like.

To make things interesting, we will also keep a tally on which staff member correctly picks the most games each week. After week two Seth is leading the pack with David close on his tail.

Nick de la Torre

Last place? Are you kidding me? I’m picking almost all the favorites this week in an effort to get back into the mix but if that doesn’t work I’m going to have to start flipping a coin or picking based on who has a better mascot.

Andrew Spivey

This is a tougher week and it’s time that I pull back in the lead and knock Seth out. I’m going with Nebraska to pull a slight upset and I’m also going with Illinois pulling an upset over Washington.

I was close to going with California over Ohio State but I’ll stick with Urban here. I’m also going to go with Ole Miss to take care of business in Austin this weekend.

Daniel “DK” Thompson

After a great week last week, I reached out to my Soothsayer source for his guidance again.

Going with mostly chalk again this week, but I did have a few big picks.

I have Ole Miss beating Texas. In a tough loss to BYU last week, Texas has showed that their defense is porous and their new defensive coordinator is a step-down from Manny Diaz. I think Ole Miss pulls a big upset led behind big games from Laquon Treadwell and Evan Engram. Texas’ program is going to continue its downward spiral and Ole Miss will continue on the damage BYU created last week.

Some more predictions: Louisville is going to score more than 50 points; Vanderbilt will keep it close against South Carolina; Oregon is going to gain more than 550 yards of offense; and Purdue will keep it close against Notre Dame.

Seth Puglio

Not too many toss ups this week. I was hesitant on TCU but I was impressed with them against LSU in week one so i’ll take the Horned Frogs. UCLA was another tough one for me, especially considering the game will be played at Nebraska. All that aside, the Cornhuskers haven’t been impressive at all up to this point so I’ll side with the Bruins.

The big one this week is clearly in College Station. I don’t see Alabama losing this one with a heaping load of revenge fresh on their minds. That being said, Johnny Football clearly doesn’t care what people have to say and he’s been phenomenal so far. Should be a great one between the Tide and Aggies. What a couple years makes between Mississippi and Texas. This looks like a favorable matchup for the Rebels against a struggling Longhorns team.

Richard Johnson

The big one: Alabama-A&M. Look the Tide offensive line didn’t exactly looks like Alabama O-lines of old in their season opener against Virginia Tech but a lot of the gaffes were missed assignments. They’ve had two weeks to clean those up and completely focus on Johnny Manziel. Johnny Football will get his, no doubt about it but the Aggie defense can’t stop a nosebleed and that’ll be the difference in College Station. Tide rolls.

The other interesting matchup this week is Texas and Ole Miss. With all the rumors and issues swirling around the Longhorns, going on the road to an Ole Miss team loaded with young talent doesn’t make me feel any better about the Horns‘ chances.

David “Growl”

One of the those weeks that you pick teams to be accurate but would love to be wrong. It’s just hard to pick FSU, OSU, ND and some others without feeling like I need a bath.

Looking forward to the Alabama –Texas A&M game. I am not a Bama fan but would love to see Johnny Football take a pounding.
