The Florida Gators (9-1, 7-1 SEC) climbed three spots in the latest College Football Playoff poll to No. 8 in the country when the rankings were released on Tuesday night. Florida benefitted from several teams losing in front of them and took care of business beating South Carolina on the road last Saturday.
The Gators will face two more ranked teams this season in No. 14 Florida State and No. 2 Alabama in the SEC Championship game.
With three more weekends left before the final rankings come out and the top four teams that will participate in the playoff are picked the Gators continue to control their own destiny. If Florida navigates their way through the next three weeks of the season unbeaten they will certainly find themselves in the top four. If they slip up in any of those game, they’re out.
It’s simple, win and you’re in for the Florida Gators.
