UF Men’s Golf – Isleworth, Day Two

At the conclusion of day two at the Isleworth Collegiate Invitational in Windemere, Fla., the No. 10 Florida men’s golf team wrapped up the day with a second round team score of 17-over (305), good for ninth place. The Texas Longhorns continued their domination of the par-72 course, rounding out the day atop the leaderboard with a team score of 574 (-2).

The Gators were led for most of the day by junior Tyler McCumber, who shot a team-best round of 73 (+1). McCumber got off to a slow start, compiling a bogey on the third hole and a double bogey on five. However, the junior settled down on the back nine, racking up a par on each of the first three holes. McCumber would rally for birdies on three of the last six holes and currently sits in a tie for 31st.

Junior T.J. Vogel carded the second-best round for Florida with a three-over 75. Vogel, who currently ranks tied for 23rd, wrapped up the second round with one birdie against four bogeys.

For a second day in a row, junior Tommy Mou took the third position for the Gators as he turned in a 77 (+5).

After an impressive first day performance, where he shot a team-best 70 (-2), freshman J.D. Tomlinson lost some of the momentum heading into round two. Tomlinson and freshman Eric Banks both carded scores of 8-over (80). Tomlinson finished out the day racking up two birdies against six bogeys and two doubles. Banks, who sits in a tie for 48th, carded one birdie, three bogeys and two doubles over the course of the day.
