Jeez I guess we don't need anybody like a couple OL's

The SEC, as of Tuesday, will have 32 junior college transfers coming to the ranks next year. These guys aren’t ready to redshirt or sit for a few years, they’re seasoned and ready to play. Here’s a look at what kind of bumper crop of JUCO players is coming to the SEC, and what they’re ranked in the 247Sports.com composite ranking–which averages all of the recruiting services’ rankings.

surprised we don't have at least a couple coming in, especially OL, which Muschamp has to know we need depth.

no excuse and yet another mistake.

If he had brought in 5 you would have found a way to call it a mistake, though.

Historically we have had close to 0% juco OL be able to come In an contribute significantly year 1.

Anthony Ingrassia (sp) was the last solid contributor I can remember, and that was really his 2nd year.

Many that can play, can't transfer in due to academics.

Let's not pretend that there is an All SEC caliber line sitting out there, and our coaching staff just didn't bother to recruit them.

Was hoping we were targeting a couple of JUCOs...does anyone know if that still could happen, or has staff firmly decided not to go that route?

It has been fairly rare that we've brought in a JUCO who actually produced much in the last 10 years. Still, with the depth problems we've had, it wouldn't have surprised me if we brought a couple in to fill holes.

5 JUCO OL's would have definitely been a mistake. But 1 or 2? Maybe we would have had a spring game then? Seriously, I would have liked to see a few JUCO's added, not just on the OL. We could have used a WR, OL, LB and/or DL (DE or DT).

Jarron Reed playing at Bama next year really sucks the big one....

The past 2 seasons have seen huge contributions from 3 JUCO's: Jacobs, Cummings, and T. Brown. If Jarron Reed had qualified he would have seen playing time and likely been a starter next season. Just because a few JUCOs didn't pan out doesn't mean future JUCOs will fail. We've had PLENTY of 5-star HS recruits who were busts. Do we stop recruiting 5-stars?

Anthony Ingrassia was not a JUCO. He transferred from Boston University, a 1AA school (who dropped football, btw).

And if agent muschamp shot the pope some of you would make excuses for him doing it.

I am not much of a juco guy, but, as thin as the o-line is, 1-2 experienced guys would have been worth it this year. That said, if they dont do it, they dont do it. I wont hold it against him.

No doubt, but come on ...

I'm not sold on Muschamp. But he's here for another year. For those who constantly harp on *every single thing* - it gets old. Maybe it's a mistake, maybe it isn't. Let's let it play out.

It's going to play out!!!!! Mr Crewcut will remember a little too late what he once so famously said----"If you know you are going to fire a guy, fire him sooner rather than later", I paraphrased a little but that is still one of the smartest things anyone has ever said.

So in another thread people are complaining about us taking Jucos every year. They were saying a good coach who recruits well and fills all our needs doesn't have to. Now we are complaining because we don't have any?

Can the Muschamp haters at least be consistent?

Great quote! Is there a thread where we can voice our opinion on that guy?
