I was at the Swamp last year and witnessed hurried throws and INTs. It is true that Mettenberger has improved greatly this year. I think the key for us is to pressure him and have his pocket break down around him. Don't think he is very mobile but I may be wrong.

    Thoughts?

Molestaberger and the running backs all played scared last year. All you have to do is hit them a few times and they crumble like crusty tiger snaut

he's a sitting duck but they have a good offensive line that has done a good job of giving him a clean pocket. he's very accurate if not pressured. he's got a brace on one of his knees i think he was wearing it in the miss st game last weekend. he's a good qb if he has time he can pick apart a defense. but i think we will be able to get alot of pressure and force him into some inaccurate throws

pressuring the QB should always be high on the priority list, no matter who one plays.

LSU'S receivers dropped a lot of passes in that game. And we were basically one dimensional.

One dimensional basically because LSU probably had one of the best LB core and secondary, that has changed this year. Do not want to jinx it, but after watching them... Damn their secondary is horrible.

well they also do a terrible job of stopping the run. uga ran all over them even with gurley out. if we get the run game going its going to a long afternoon for them... actually a short one because we will beat them down with long possessions. hopefully that will happen

I would imagine they open right up with passing in this game. LSU has not done anything in any of their games that I watched that showed me they can cover, and stop a team who can pass the ball.

He's still a statue in the pocket, and i'm not really sure that his pocket presence has really improved all that much. The main difference on why he's so effective this year is that he's getting rid of the ball really quickly because OBJ and Landry are always open so far this year.

So take away OBJ and Landry and we have a chance.

He's slow. His passing has improved. I hope our secondary has a good game, as well as our D line
