I actually see a lot if similarities in the dems overbearing arrogance regarding the tea party and the move to a more conservative Republican party.
I believe Republicans once showed the same arrogance before the most leftist divisive and ill prepared president in history was somehow elected twice.
If you guys think Ted Cruz will not have broad appeal after 3 more years of this arrogant smart ass in the white house, and the little shit Harry Reid spouting his little school boy Bs, you will have a very rude awakening.
This country is being torn apart by this president. The people are going to rise.
Much like the anger of 8 years of Bush from the left, the anger and hostility from the right will sweep just about anyone from the right into the white house in 2016.
The Tyrant in charge now will slink away in History with Jimmy Carter.

You're 20% of the country, just p***ing into the wind with your anger.

Your congressional childish antics are going to cost you control of any portion of government, save the SCOTUS.

nah. it's just you guys complaining about the other side and trying to claim it's all their fault.
I mean, consider the fact that you call him a tyrant. That's common among conservatives. he's a tyrant, he's a dictator ...
he's done nothing more than any other president, but you guys decide to go overboard. and then claim it's his fault.

Politico is about as insider-y as it gets. I don't think they are making up quotes, and I can also see why certain sources wouldnt want to give their names. Its bad for them professionally, and they still have to work with the guy.

    Say.
Can you name one piece of MAJOR legislation ever passed without one single vote from the opposing party?
In your screwed up little fantasy world.....Can you ever recall a sitting president calling the opposing party names a characterizing them as terrorists with bombs strapped to their bodies?
Trust me our time is coming
We will then treat the dems as enemies,
Just like the dems are treating Republicans now.
    Valerie aint seen nothing yet

    As i said.

Some perspective here.....the Pubs/TP have vowed since Obama was elected to oppose each and every piece of legislation. This was an organized effort.

Inflammatory words are going to fly when the argument is over ideology as opposed to what's best for the American people.

just extreme partisanship talking and nothing more.

as far as the vote, what do you want to happen? One party shouldn't vote for something if the other party is opposed?

I would imagine the "just folks" who dont follow politics will think Cruz is an obnoxious prick if they get to see him on a regular basis, like many of his coworkers already do.

At this point, I'm wondering if enough Americans sign on for it, if we could as citizens take back the country and "no confidence"/recall the entire Congress/President. They...all...SUCK. Look at the approval rating for Congress/the White House. Doesn't matter which party - just throw them all out and start over. I know that's chaos and all, but at what point does the populace say "ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!"

If nothing else, even if it's symbolic, it would probably send a really strong message to the government that We the People have had enough. And it's this vicious cycle that isn't going to get better because frankly I don't see a candidate out of ANY side of the party system that can change this. Not when Congress is a huge problem, too, and so many vote along the lines versus for or against the actual issues.

If they knew they could be thrown out via recall or no confidence votes, I think they would act more in the interest of the people versus scratching each others backs.

At this point what I see is a buildup to 2012 again. When this happens the Reps will, once again, be on the outside looking in at the White House. Hopefully an electable candidate will come to the forefront.

Exactly how Tom Delay and Cheney treated Dems.

And you need to change your Fox talking point to "without TWO pub votes."

What exactly makes more insider-y? From what I've read it's just another in a long line of left-leaning media pushing an agenda of their own personal beliefs over the agenda of objective journalism.

The thing that amazes me is those who would rather see someone like Hillary move into the White House rather than a Rep they may not be in total agreement with. I always thought a half of a loaf was better than none at all.

If I am forced to make a choice between a crook and a nut I will take the crook every time. At least with the crook you have an idea what you are going to get which doesn't hold true with the nut.

Of course the more likely course for me would be not to vote for either of them.
