Curious more about the technicality than the likelihood of it happening, but would Patric be able to join the football team in 2014?

Not sure when the clock starts ticking, particularly if the Muschamp "redshirted" him this year.

I believe eligibility is tied to when you start school. So no.

Wouldnt that mean he could? He started school in 09, so 2014 football season would be his 5th year in school. Greg Paulus played PG at Duke for 4 years then transfered to Syracuse for 1 year of football.

I think Major Wright did it. Played 4 years of hoops here, and then in year five played football. Right?

Was it sad when Jimmy Graham played over guys recruited to play football at Miami?

I'd have no problem with it at all. Would love to see it. But what position would he play. One of Partic's issues is he doesn't have great hands. So tight end I don't think would be a great choice. I guess DE??

TE or bust IMO most basketball players are not physical enough and dont have the mentality to play defense

A few of our current tight ends were recruited as DEs, moved over and don't have great hands either.

As muscular as he is now, imagine 6 months in a football focused weight room. If hands and mindset are an issue, he might make a great offensive tackle.

It wasn't Major Parker. It was Ray Shipman. He played 2 years of hoops here then transfered to UCF and played fiootball there. He was with the Saints this preseason but didn't make the final roster

You're both wrong and correct. Major Parker DID play football his fifth year at Florida. You've explained Ray Shipman well enough.
