Just underway in doubles.
Collins and Morgan get a break early at 3, up 2-0
This seems like one of the few top 10 teams that we actually stand a reasonably good chance of beating in doubles.
It would be huge as 4 singles against Cal is far from a given.
Very good point, they have been as bad if not worse than UF in doubles. I'm almost assuming UF will have to win 4 singles if they make the semis and finals
3-1 on 1 (Embree/Oyen)
3-3 on 2 (Cercone/Hitimana)
2-2 on 3 (Collins/Morgan)
UGA up a break on all 3 courts vs Stanford
Cal gaining momentum on all 3 courts. Up 6-3 now at 2.
Cal wins #2, 8-4.
Gators just went up 6-3 at #3.
Cal serving at 4-4 in the likely deciding match at #1.
Disappointing job by Cercone and Hitimana...may go with Jano in that slot if they suvive
UGA about to close out the doubles point pretty easily
Sofie with a rare hold on court #1. 6-4 Gators now.
7-4 Gators, with Cal to serve on court #3.
8-4 Gators win #3.
All eyes now on court #1, Cal still serving at 4-6.
Collins Morgan win 8-4
Gators break for 7-4 on court #1. 1 game away now from the doubles point!
Oyen with some nice aggressive play, UF saves a couple of game points to go up 7-4
Embree with the easiest service game of the match, holds to 15, and the Gators win 8-4 at #1.
Cercone will struggle, Cal player at 3 is very good. Oyen out to a fast start
Stanford winning easily on 1, 2 and 5, UGA up on3 and 6. It will come down to court 4 in that match
Thanks for the updates guys...
Reminder to self...do not watch Hitimana matches
They are never a pretty thing to see
UF leading on 5 of 6 courts. Nice start to singles.
Embree in a tight one...up 3-2
So what was the score at the end of doubles? Thanx in advance.
Morgan is playing *so* well in singles right now. Honestly I would not be surprised if she moves to #1 next year. Up 5-0, just mowing down this Cal girl who is ranked above her.
