He'll be dead in this story arc but it won't be the last Wolverine storyline. It's good for drumming up sales. Guess Marvel is feeling the Pressure from the "new" guys like DC is(even though I did go for Batman Eternal hook, line, and sinker) big sales at the end a few months pass then it will be Return Of Wolverine #1 special edition

Interesting idea to run with. He may be dead for a long time but no one dies for good in Comics.
    No one.

Jean Grey has been dead for years. Still is technically but they found a way to bring her young self back in All New X-Men.

Barry Allen was dead for 20 years before returning in Flash Rebirth.
Hal Jordan was dead for 10 years then had his Rebirth.
Ollie has been dead, Superman died. Batman and Captain America died just a few years ago.

At this point it would probably be easier to find characters who haven't died.
