People on this board crack me up. That video shows nothing more than a coach at halftime firing up his players. That probably goes on in most locker rooms at half time. Big deal.

People will find any excuse to criticize.

I can't speak for anyone else, but I think this is another in a list of "lost composure" moments: fury at the refs, telling the fans to get a grip, punching the chalkboard, his defensive/uninterested/"shut down" demeanor in interviews or on his show, etc.

I feel like a head coach should have more poise.

It's concerning and implies (to me) a lack of control.

One time my HS coach broke a kid's helmet when he threw it against the wall. Sometimes you need a little extra oomph to get kids' attention.

Groupthink is so pathetic. This guy can't do anything without it being scrutinized. Its like a political board here now.

it was ironic that question on his hand came immediately after the one he told fans to get a grip

    He's like "get a grip" then...." I punched a chalkboard....dumb"....comical sequence

Kind of like a fake punt pass to a covered D Lineman. If it works you cheer and if not you cry WTH?

Or if you are like me you shake your head regardless and continue to believe that Muschamp is over his head.

I think this is one of those things where if we were winning people would love him for his intensity. But when you look what happens on the field and its clear that he does not necessarily have full control of the team, then its easier for people to "chalk" it up to lack of control overall.

I personally couldn't care less about it. I care much more about his control over the product on the field, which he seems to have very little of as evidenced by our team's drastic fluctuation in preparation, intensity, and overall level of play from week to week during his entire tenure.

We may not have played the greatest game of all time Saturday night but we played very crisp, and save for a few procedure penalties, we really executed our gameplan well (no matter if it was a good one or not). That is the standard we should be playing with each and every week. IMO we are only playing like that around 50% of the games under his watch, which is horrible.

A coach can do whatever he wants short of punching people as long as he's winning. Nobody would give a crap if Muschamp punched a chalk board if he was fullfilling that requirement.

Exactly - If we were 10-0 he could cover himself in feathers and do the Chicken Dance down the middle of University ave and we'd love it.

At 4-6 you'd get institutionalized for it.

When I saw his presser, I actually thought to myself... who still uses a chalk board? What kind of show do that have over there in Cock-ville?

That he didn't direct his anger and intensity at chalk boards.
