I read he admitted that is what happened. My impression was that it happened before the second half; not after the game. My question is: what reason would he have for doing this?

He took a highly injured team, starting his third-string QB, on the road against the #10 team (who had just learned that UGA had lost and, therefore, had a lot to play for), and was leading at halftime thanks to great effort from his players and a well executed game plan.

What reason would he have to be so upset (if he punched it at halftime)? I would think he would be exhorting his team to continue what they had been doing well, not throwing a temper tantrum. What the heck?

Maybe he wasn't upset? Maybe he was just fired up. He's hurt himself before (at Texas) getting fired up over positive play.

I posted this video earlier. It's just what he does. He has anger management issues, as you could have guessed before seeing this.

So, either he doesn't learn very quickly, or he's a masochist?

Thanks for the video link.....it's not a big deal.

If Muschamp had the team winning and heading for a BCS bowl or better, y'all would love this.

Disagree. What's to love about it? He looks out of control.

Go back and relook at it....he is not out of control by any means and I believe you know that.

Looks in control to me. That's pretty run of the mill stuff for defensive coaches right there.

Sent from my iPhone using GatorCountry because I'm sick of it asking me to download it every time I go to the site.

I don't know that at all. He looks to me that he's angry about guys not accomplishing their assignments.

Hence, my question: what exactly, in the first half, would he have to be so upset about?

Now, if you want to claim that he's not upset...that he does this deliberately to emphasize his point....then I really question his leadership style. Leaders who act crazy, scream, cuss, etc, can get results for temporarily. But, in the long term, it's ineffective because those who've heard it repeatedly become desensitized to it.

How can he control a team when he can't control himself?

I think you and I are referring to two different things. I've been posting about the link Tolbert posted.....you appear to be talking about today's incident. If you go back and read the op, it says he's not sure when it happened....he only had the impression it was after the first half. Right now, we don't know anything about today's incident.

I like a coach with passion. The players are playing their tails off even though their preseason goals are shot. That speaks volumes.
