For sure. Both offenses are a lot worse than slinging a sandwich.

Police records show the apartment manager, Dave Sudekum, initially wanted to evict Winston and three other tenants but decided to not press charges after an FSU athletic department official promised that the players would pay for the damage.

Sudekum initially told a reporter this week that a previous management company had been involved. When told that his name was on the report, he then said he couldn't remember the incident, which happened the day after FSU lost to the University of Florida.

Wow. The Athletic Department Gestapo in Tallahassee is reaching Tuscaloosa standards.

Yeah, TPD getting things sewn up in Tally:

In the Burger King incident - The report says Winston was never interviewed about the incident because the restaurant declined to prosecute.

Statistical fact, more people have been injured by bb's shot from an air rifle than have been hurt by thrown bags of potato chips.

The most interesting thing to me about the BB gun incident is the way FSU stepped right in and paid for the damage to get Winston off the hook. If they'd do that for a comparatively minor incident what would they do for a sexual assault charge?

I could be wrong, but that sounds like an NCAA violation to me. Granted a small, silly one, but a violation nonetheless.

I think the article states FSU athletic dept would make the players pay for the damage. Wonder how that turned out though? 13+ windows @ maybe $200 (materials and labor say) each would be around $2600 - pretty much at felony level money. Wonder how the players came up with that money? Maybe the local wheel and tire stores are ponying up cash and checks again...lol

Police probably told them they would get lots of publicity, boycotts, and pickets! Seems to be the way TPD operates.

Let's get GPD on stakeout as soon as he arrives in Gainesville. I'm sure they can nab him for something.

It's amazing to me after UF has been shown to be a moral and ethical black hole during the Urban regime that anyone will cling to the supposed moral high ground as it relates to any other program outside Alachua County. UF is no more virtuous or pure, and has been shown to be demonstrably less so, than any other SEC team.
