    Not sure if posted elsewhere:

In a first round state playoff game:

He was 21 of 23 for 439 yards and 9 TDs. On the season, he has now thrown for 3,892 yards and 62 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions, and he has rushed for 1,135 yards and 11 touchdowns...

    I cant wait!

Driskel and Brantley were studs in HS too. It won't matter if we don't have the right HC and OC to mold them. I pray we do

My thoughts also. We have temper our expectations. Things to consider before anointing him the savior:

    1. Level of competition. He's playing against 2A private schools.
    2. He's a dual threat QB. Is that what we want/need running this system? Seems the coaches have a hard time enough turning these guys loose due to fear of injury thus exposing their weaknesses.
    3. Frosh QB playing in SEC next year.
    4. Only 3 other SEC schools offered him, and two of those are true dual-threat QB offenses.

Don't get me wrong, I'm sure he's a fine kid, we just have to temper the expectations. My early guess is that we'll still have either Driskel/Murphy starting for us next year provided they're healthy.

He has stated that the plan is to RS next year. He needs to seriously put on some weight, but he throws one of the nicest balls out there. There were reports during the Nike camps that receivers were lining up to catch passes from him. The coaches told him to be ready just in case but he'll probably RS.

Also, he is a coaches son that has good mechanics and a quick release. This guy can scoot but i wouldn't truly consider him a dual threat QB. He was one of the best Qbs at the elite 11. He'll be fine in a pro style

A lot of people knew Driskel would be something of a project here. The mental aspect of his game and the physical aspect were on two very different levels of advancement.

Brantley just had horrible luck. No one to throw to, no running game against anything close to a quality opponent, and a fluctuating coaching staff. Horrible luck.

On his way in at least, Grier has more going for him.
