Billy called me last night to thank me for my previous "Free Scottie" thread.

    I said let's do it.

    I am somebody.

Outstanding news! Hopefully we start to gel like I thought we were with Hill.

Sweet. Exactly what many predicted in terms games. Hopefully, he gets into game rhythm by our December stretch.

I wonder if he starts over walker or if he is brought off the bench to start with. Probably the latter knowing billy D.

If he's active, I think he should start; but no big deal either way. He will log a lot of minutes and be in the game down the stretch.

I am hoping to hear better news about Harris. For weeks, we have been hearing good things about Wilbekin from Billy. Waiting to hear something positive about Harris. I wonder if this is a grades / attendance issue as well!

Seems like he has awile to go. Wonder who will play first, Harris or Walker?

Now the Gators have a PG and a really good defensive player, spacer and 3-point shooter in the mix.

He has been practicing with the team, so, he lis likely to start, although Billy D may let him wait a bit in his first game back.

Still missing 3 likely regulars in Hill, Harris and Walker, but the team is now somewhat deeper. Expect Wilbekin to play roughly 25-30 minutes except in blowouts, where Billy Jr will replace him until Harris returns.

Billy D owes Walker a debt of gratitude. I am sure he will be starting for awhile

Wilbekin is our starting point guard. If he is on the team he will start. We do not have another point guard.

That doesn't mean he is going to play 40 minutes a game. Last year, Wilbekin spent three games coming off the bench after his suspension, and it wasn't like Boynton had been tearing it up at the one. I could easily see Donovan bringing Wilbekin off the bench and stealing a few extra minutes with Frazier and Walker together in the backcourt. Doubt he would do that for too long, though.

Doesn't Walker need some rest now for his injury?

    Good news!

Will be really interesting once Hill is back to 100%. No matter how many minutes each get we will be very solid at point.

In another thread someone thought that Harris would never play a game and be done as a Gator. Hope not.

Based on this quote from Billy Donovan it appears that you are correct sir,

Donovan added: “To his credit, he’s done everything that’s been asked of him. He’s shown an incredible commitment to get back on the team and to do the right things and more so than anything else to really prove to his teammates that he’s committed to the team. So I’m not going to hold him back at all.”

Scottie got some game-type action in during the scrimmage with Georgia Tech, and reportedly was one of the two best players on the court, along with Hill. That's good.

I'm glad he gets to play at JU. After the downer of Gator football, I really need to pound FSU, so I want Scottie rounding back into form for that one.

When asked specifically about starting Wilbekin at the presser (right around the 2:30) minute Donovan said he didn't know yet if he was going to start him, but regardless he would give him "normal minutes."
