Wasn't the complaint with that photo the fact that it signaled that we wouldn't use our military directly to rescue them? Now that we have used the military to rescue the victims, you have switched to complaining about how we should be saying more while using the military to rescue the victims from the mountain?

BTW, we already assisted in the rescue of the vast majority of those that want off of the mountains.

Which is the point of this just being generalized complaining. You really don't even know what you want, just not what is happening. And if what was happening was different, you wouldn't want that either.

Ya know, MObama could have broadcast her "#" message when the crisis began ... but I guess she couldn't find the time while vacationing with BO.

Again, generalized complaining. They weren't on vacation when the crisis began. So you are just complaining rather than trying to make any reasonable statements.

I don't know who is right but a reporter on NPR who is there on the ground said things weren't as rosy as the US was claiming in its press conferences. I didn't get the impression your above statement was true based on his report of conditions.

What I do not understand is that when Mosul fell to the ISISl in early June there should of been a wake up call from the Pentagon to Obama that they need to take out the military hardward that ISIS plundered. That hardward is now being used in Iraq and in Syria. I wonder not if but how many calls came from the Pentagon to Obama about taking out that hardware.

That's actually true of most militant Islamic groups associated with takfiri salafism, including AQ. The issue they run into is that most of the Islamic states were harder to target in a meaningful way (or harder to target without getting huge crackdowns on themselves) than the west was. That has changed somewhat, particularly in the power vacuum Islamic states without a strong government to keep the takfiri sentiments in line, so you're seeing something of a shift in what they concentrate in attacking as other Muslims who they view as apostates become the "easier targets" once again in some regions.

obsama rushed back from his all-important vacation to take care of an important matter. What matter was that?

    Not Putin.

    Not Ukraine.

    Not Iran.

    Not Iraq.

    Not isis.

A bunch of hoodlums rioting in Ferguson, Mo.

THAT is what the problem is.
