Just did a quick google search and found this link. So one of Saban's companies (in Houston) has filed for bankruptcy. There could be some legs to the rumors. You know some mega boosters in Texas could take care of this.

To put things in perspective Alabama's athletic revenue was $52 million before they hired Saban. It jumped to $80 million just one year after hiring Saban. Now they are generating somewhere between $90 to $100 million a year. So paying $200 million (if that is what the number is) over a 10 year period to take care of Saban's debts would actually be a move that has the potential to pay off in the long run. And it doesn't even have to be public knowledge because the boosters could make it happen behind the scenes.

Is the "we" that's going to do it a different team from the one that lost to Georgia Southern in Gainesville?

Let's see if your boy can even put together a Spring Game this time before pumping smoke up our collective rectums about beating Bama (and their refs) in Tuscaloosa, huh?

It matters what you "consider different". The healthy Gators team is beating Bama next year.

In my opinion Malzahn would be of greater value with his wide open offense and all the Texas high school coaching ties he has made over the years. He is substantially younger and has Texas roots. Give him a couple years to recruit his players and watch him win and win big in their conference.

That said, I don't see Bama losing more than 2 games in their down year. Too many great athletes waiting for their opportunity to see the field and a great staff top to bottom.

Guys, Saban is not going anywhere. Unless one of you has inside information that the NCAA is going to investigate even one of Bama's alleged improprieties since Saban took over, then forget it. The only thing that will realistically make him leave is the prospect of sanctions, and if he's hurting for money (doubtful), then the NFL can pay one hell of a lot more than Texas.

I dont think this is true. The highest paid NFL coaches make what "7 -8 mil" nobody in the NFL is paying Saban that much after his failures. Texas on the other hand will pay him that much

    exactly

Didn't AZ guarantee that we would not lose to Vandy and then that happened. He then guaranteed that we would not lose to GA Southern, and well, yeah.

guarantee might not be the right word, but you assured us by saying we won't lose to Vandy, and then echoed those sentiments about Ga Southern.

I enjoy your posts (I mostly just lurk) but sometimes your blatant nuthuggery of Champ is a bit ridic

Except at Bama, Sabsn had done the NFL thing. At UF, Spurrier still had the NFL itch.

I said no such thing with this team. I did say if we lost to Vandy Pease was gone and we see what happen there. The Ga Southern week I said almost nothing about the game because I thought we had a good shot at losing. I actually didnt even watch the game. I went to the mall when I found out Bullard was out so TRY AGAIN. I was even told people were asking about me in the game thread. First game I have missed watching in forever. No way on earth I would guarantee a win with Skylar as our QB

Now I have said recently I am willing to bet on the Vandy game next year.

Just because a corporation that Saban is involved in is bankrupt, doesn't mean that Saban personally has any debt. That's the point of corporations.

We aren't beating Bama in Tusky next season, not with this HBC we aren't.

I would gladly eat the crow you served up, but I highly doubt it will happen. Saban enjoys the luxury of having the best talent in the country at Bama. he just reloads every year, and he can coach circles around Muschamp.

Honestly how many player can you name on Bama two deep off the top of your head? I dont agree with the 2nd part either. We have seen Saban lose to people Muschamp out coached in the past two years.

I am not guaranteeing a win either. There are a lot of moving parts with each teams roster before that games happens. UF should be as talented as any team in the country next year.

You depend upon too many variables to come into play to be right IMO.
