Personal feelings aside... If all the talking heads and Foley are correct and Muschamp is an elite coach then why isn't his name being floated around at all concerning the Texas job?

Didn't he in effect turn down that job when he came to UF?

He is. Saban, Fisher, Miles, etc. are just the names being floated around. Since Will is friends with Saban and Fisher, he's helping them get a nice raise and extension, while he flies under the radar and returns as the prodigal son to his beloved Bevo.

If muschamp showed up at Texas, it would creat such a stir that Bevo's neuticles would fall off.

I think Muschamp probably is a candidate, just maybe a little farther down the list if they can't grab a really high-profile coach like Saban. My guess is that assuming Saban, Les Miles and Fisher all pass, you'll start hearing Muschamp's name start to be mentioned.

Muschamp left on good terms, not taking recruits or other coaches. However, they would not look at him at all unless the search turns into a disaster like the Tennessee search that got Dooley hired. In that search, at least six or seven potential hires said no, and UT was in a panic to hire someone.

I know for a fact he isn't. One via a really good friend at Texas who is Dean of Engineering and read their forums. Muschamp is being talked about like Kiffen is here. Most fans are saying we saved them tons of money and 3 years of mediocrity by doing the vetting for them.

The dean of engineering helps pick the football coach or has an inside track? I'm hoping uf's dean of engineering has no say in our next OC. No offense to him/her but I prefer they stick to their field of study.
