i'm like strangegator: it's still 'mystical' to me, having grown up without it. we love it. period.

    :)
20 yrs later (that's how long i've lived in this state) i'm still enjoying the cold.

Snow is perfect from 6 pm on Christmas Eve until 6 am on Dec 26th :D

When you are going out at 2 in the afternoon and it is snowing and 3 degrees---that is not fun! Throw in ice and you get things even worse!

Couldn't enjoy it. Had to drive in it. At least I wasn't in one of the 3 accidents I drove past on my almost 2 hour drive home.

Pretty cold this morning on the Gulf Coast. Going to have to find my long pants if this keeps up.

Pet project around here btw - people get "flocked" for charity. It's pretty funny actually...

If it's going to be cold enough for it, I prefer it to snow. I lived in it for years while away in the Army however, and am now mostly willing to visit places it snows rather than live there. It just makes simple things like getting into your car to go to work unpleasant. Shoveling, scraping, hitting icy spots in the road, cold-wet feet all suck.

My wife and I agree that if we move, we'll restrict it to places where snowfall may happen occasionally but it's still rare enough that everything shuts down when it does.

No it doesn't - neighbor's dog poops in the snow and all you see is piles of steaming poop on the white snow until they come clean it. Then you have divots all over the snow from where it melted it

Ridiculous wind chills here overnight. Somewhere in the minus 30-40 range!! Some new snow on Wednesday into Thursday as well.
