I've seen some people leaning towards Javarius Davis and Jeremy McDuffie, but I think both of those guys are still a good ways off from making a decision soon. However, with this time of year there aren't going to be many commitments, so one of them could be the next one.

George Campbell is probably going to be the next big target to decide, but he's a strong lean to F$U now.

Houshun Gaines is one to watch for though. He's gonsidered a VT lean, but I think he really enjoyed his time on his visit a couple weeks ago. He was rumored to have been looking to make a decision between Aug. 1 and mid Sept. I'm not sure how many DE we are wanting to take this go around, but the only ones on the board seem to be Cowart, Jefferson, and Reggie Walker

Those were all of the people I was going to guess as well. Maybe Ryan Davis or Antonio Callaway would fit into that group, depending on their decision timelines.

Once again... we need to remember that not one single recruit has seen a single game that Florida has played this year.
So, even though there is a lot of excitement over the POSSIBILITIES that the Gators will show on the field (and that excitement, so far has led to some solid commitments)... that is all that we have been able to have on our side.. so far.
    Excitement.

Wait till we start winning some games and show these recruits the process in HOW we win these games.

I truly feel that Roper's offense is going to open up some eyes and open them up big.
Look what Duke did with FSU last year in the ACC title game. Had them truly guessing for a good part of the game.
Sure, Duke lost but only because of FSU's overall talent level.
Look at what Duke did to the Aggies in Atlanta last year? Almost beat them.
I wonder what Florida would have done to these two teams if Roper had been on the staff for the last two years???

The bottom line... even if Florida has some defensive miscues...and another team scores 28 points on them... if Florida scores 35 points against a team... quess what? Florida wins the damn game!
Everyone goes home... everyone is happy.

Others may say... "Well that is just waaay too many points for a defense to give up."
    Yea, I believe that too.
But what would one rather see?
A game where Florida wins 14 to 7?
Or a game where we win 35 to 28?
I will take the second game all day long.

Fans throughout the nation want to see touchdowns scored... points on the board!
And guess what...high school recruits feel the same way!
I for one DO NOT want to see a "defensive struggle."
    This aint soccer.

So, lets get the Florida horses out of the gate and turn them loose and score a ton of points and win some games.
I think all of us will love it...
And so will tons of high school studs who want to touch the ball and score with it.
Lets see who winds up flipping to Florida come November!

I just saw that he is planning several visits for the upcoming season. I think it isn't over for McCloud if we show out on offense and have a good season. That being said, if he does flip, I don't think it will be very soon. I really don't know who will announce next. Maybe McDuffie? It's been pretty quiet with the HS and college seasons about to start.

Yeah I think most kids are going to announce near the end of their season, or right after.

I think that with all the constant attention from recruiting sites, college coaches, and college fans on social media, most of these kids are changing their announcement dates to before the the season. This allows them to avoid a lot of the calls and contacts from media sites and focus on their senior year. There will always be some kids who hold out to announce at the AA games because ESPN needs to build an audience, but I think most will want it over with sooner.

He could be the one to start the line of top recruits to commit to Florida.

Honestly, UF best shot at getting top recruits to commit is winning on the field this year.

At this point, the highly rated recruits who grew up die hard Gator fans will still have a high percentage to commit if UF has just an OK year on the field, but isn't dramatically better on offense. They always wanted to play at UF and that goes a long way in terms of landing a big time recruit.

However, the highly rated recruits who are not UF fans, offensive players especially, probably will not be as open to UF. Also the fact UF lacks an IFP and, as other GC posters have said, UF is middle of the pack in the SEC in terms of facilities right now, which doesn't help.

Getting a Bell Weather recruit in the UF class this year won't do as much as have a 9 to 10 win season.

As much as I agree with this statement, it would be nice to have some good news early in the season on the recruiting front and the playing field.
Plus, I think Cowart is the kind of prospect that has some serious sway with other players. I know he said they are no longer a package deal, but I could see his commitment to the Orange and Blue getting CeCe on board soon too. Maybe that is the push that Davis and Campbell need to commit to us too. Who knows.

I dont think anyone is going to get cece to announce early, Byron or else. He openly states he's enjoying the recruiting process and will wait till NSD. With that being said I don't think he picks anyone but us.

That's ok. We'll still stay on him hard until NSD. Plus after we beat F$U this year, he'll flip. Maybe even before then.

Yeah I think it did too, but I find it hard to believe that if we play well this year, and/or F$U's weaknesses get exposed and they lose a couple you will see him flip back to us.
